Okay guys, I finally forced myself to sit down and post this. Not even close to all of the updates I wanted to make, especially incorporating the middle school kids moving up. I haven't seen many results from the spring so far, so I have only made a few weight adjustments. But I'm sure you all will let me hear about plenty of it. ENJOY!

not to pick at ya, but drop down hamIlton and myers
Now ya know you are going to have to adjust those team dual rankings? State duals are going to be split into small school and large school.
I also thought they were only taking 1 from each region next year. 1 small and 1 big.
There are six sectionals in each class. Two teams will go from each. No regions.
how are kids who didnt even place ranked higher than kids who did at that weight?
Jordan True 182 lbs graduated.
lasttakedown its alright he also has kids who are ranked nationally behind kids who get 3rd in regionals
Wow SK #2
Maybe they can get the unwanted wrester from Campbell to put them over the top.
lasttakedown its alright he also has kids who are ranked nationally behind kids who get 3rd in regionals
don't get me started.
lasttakedown, there are any number of reasons for that. send me a message and i can explain the specific situation you are concerned about.
Pretty sure these rankings are not based on 1 tournament (including state tournament) but more on body of work.

Hadn't heard anything about that. Guess i've been out of the loop. Oh well, guess that is something else to do in my spare time. Maybe i will work on that while i'm at camp in a few weeks at Jordan's.
don't get me started.

tell me ranger?
tell me ranger?
How about send him a message and I'm sure he will respond to you. It's under Messenger at the top on the site.
lasttakedown its alright he also has kids who are ranked nationally behind kids who get 3rd in regionals
But the 3rd in regionals got 2nd in state and returning to the same wt. class. While the nationally ranked kid is bumping up 2 wt. classes. (lets get all the info)
Doubt Corbin Woods is 38 and i also doubt he ends up 10th .What about Bachman at cc or was he a sr?Cant argue with the rankings but i know a few kids who will do a bit bettter than predicted in different setting .Jones is good not sure how he and Hamilton pair up having a good partner in his brother and great coaches at WV vs Hamilton having a good partner and good coaches at CC it may be a very good match Hamilton has some moves i would say it is his to lose i would have had to put him second over jones just off of bigger tournament experience thats if he goes 52 he wasnt exactly shredded this year i would think he would shoot for 45 and the title !!!! wouldn't everyone agree.put woods at 52 hamilton at 45 Corbin places at 52 wedged between Paul and Stephen .no choice but to be much improved ,"DAMN i should be a coach" lol thats how i would do it knowing how much Woods has grown and How much better Hamilton could be if he worked at it ,not sure if that helps the team as far as points but it will not surprise me .put Hamilton 45 woods 52 Myers 60 ,2 champs and a placer ,Fauz could go up as well but i doubt it his weight could be very important as far as team standings .I think CC has a great shot at 4 titles this year again at least if the SR leadership steps up and doesnt leave it up to a soph a jr and a hard worker in woods to lead the way i think four and about that many placers would get it done.
With a state champ graduating i think CC pushes its 220 up part of the year in order to bring along a new HVY ,that is if he wants to go hvy ,looking forward to the match with Bryant. There is no 220 in college and its doubtful a fresh 220 champ stays 220 four years even if he was pudgy i figure he goes hvy till the break then goes 220+ the rest of the year .
I would say the meat of Campbell's lineup would need to look like this.
132 Fauz
138 Woods/Hamilton
145 Hamilton/Woods
152 Myer/Bachman
160 Bachman/Myer
171 Turner
182 Mathews
Along with Krebs at 106, Maggart at 114, and Spahr at 120 and Myers at 220
This could be a team that is unstoppable.
mpire
why r the wv coaches great and the cc coaches only good. just curious about the difference.
Louwrestfan I think you are reading a little to much into it. I think both schools have great coaches. I think empire complimenting them both is a good thing. To say walton has a good coaching staff is pretty accurate. Dave barnes div 1 all american , eric cameron recent graduate of indiana university(big 10), bill peace 4 year college wrestler. So to say these coaches are great coaches is an understatement. I would think any wrestling program would be lucky to have such a well qualified staff. Not to mention they have only had a program for 3 yrs. Not to bad. So the point is that it sound like you are trying to get a rise out of empire or start drama with campbell county and walton
sorry , i didnt read anything into it. i just asked the question because that is the way he typed it. i was giving him chance clarify his statement. if he made a mistake then he can fix it. if he typed what he meant then it sounds like a slight toward cc coaches. i hope not because i want to see the boys wrestle next year.
Actually it was a compliment to Campbell County as well as Walton Verona ,showing respect to a staff and opponents is simply showing my respect for WV and the people I have met from there parents and a few coaches and I am impressed with the young Cameron as well as the enthusiasm of some of its parents , not a slight to CC its called being Humble I picked the CC kid over the WV kid who I like a lot mostly because he was a CC kid being honest I am a home team player untill I am given reason not to be , funny everyone waiting to stir the , if it gives everyone a rise then I will say there is a few things I would do differently or like to see done differently at CC but nothing huge or mind blowing and I certainly would have a slightly different approach on things but good is good I have seen great coache who do things out of the box and have very close relationships with kids and parents that Is what kind of person I am , it's what you need to have a very hardcore approach .
How the heck does complimenting a team in an opposing position lead to anything even remotely resembling an argument towards a home team ,
Of it makes you happy I will say CC will obliterate WV and the test of the state they have every weight covered a far as coaching as well as weight class studs across all weights a hvy coach that has great heart and lob of kida and the sport a head coach with mass experience and ability to obviously diffuse and avoid drama "although as much as all the a holes tried to push my buttons I shut you all up by playing it cool this year , of course why did I hav to get ticked I knew what AA going to happen i figured it all out fom day 1 " set back win state and watch your kids get titles as well as help the team get it done ?
Why make waves when everyone was waiting to surf at my expense ,lol I have had my buttons pushed forever and usually I play along and use it to my own advantage or for kicks and I actually love the sport my kids and respect the majority of every kid and coach I have met WV is a small team with a few studs and great staff they will never beat a CC SK or Ryle next yr but can be a shocker in time if they get the kids .
I am sure the coaches at CC would rather have me compliment an opposing team that deserves the compliment rather than say we is gonna kick they @ss we is number 1 We has got da rings .if it makes you happy I will reserve great for those who deserve it in the future and simply use good . For everyone now let's have some fun ,
Belk from Ryle will be a shocker showed great character with injuries Larue and is a worker and rule is reloading and will need kida to step up and they will I'm sure .
I'm not sure woods can make 38 with Bachman in there a team move could put S Myers at 170 I think he could hang and woul fill out but that is to big for him and not a smart move as far as looking ahead to college .not sure how big Bachman is either way I do not see woods at 38 he's to big .
Now blast me for all my typing errors because thats about all your going to get from me today ,except CC does have a Great coach and I will reserve that compliment just for him because I haven't seen anyone comparable to him as far as heart at any school in OH or KY I know 1 great coach in OH and even he would be humbled by one of CC coaches and that's the kind of guy I want coaching my kids .
Now If you want to argue let's debate the Austin / Bryant match or the Hamilton /Polly/Jones / Cooper / Myers /Chamberle matches (:
Or how about Fauzt /Lampe or Canter /Myers ding ding ding
Rideemout... When you say " nationally ranked" what rankings are you referring to? I just put down this months issue of WIN magazine and didn't see anyone from KY nationally ranked. Are you referring to grade or class specific rankings as in juniors only ..etc ?
I'm sure he means USA wrestling rankings by class and they are more legit than OHs intermat as far as nationally ranked overall Win is good stuff but seema to go off of reported in comments a bit USA wrestling is huge covering the whole sport on a more personal level I think you will see some KY kids ranked overall when they actually come out at the end of this month , Ervin and A Myers are both 5 but Brock probably has the better chance at the lighter weight and being a jr next yr and Cooper and S Myers are 13 and 11 in their weights at jrs so they should make it and Fahy in the top 15 for srs should be a lock for overall rankings ,
Just my take on it ,of course I'm waiting to see If a fresh 220 can make the overall rankings so I can have yrs I fun bashing some haters north of the OH river .lol
The All Class Rankings are out !!!!!
Who has em ??????
thanks Ranger for the rankings,I think they are fun to look at,and I take them with a grain of salt. But as for one certain wrestler at 106 you have given him great motivation(something that had been lacking lately) and if he keeps working as hard as he's been lately he will make a run at the 106 title.
I would assume Dezember goes 113 with either Bryce Sheffer at 106 or if he isn't too big, Chance Oxford going 106.
Sheffer just wrestled 84 at TOC (April 21). Hard to imagine he would be too big for 106.
I think he meant if Bryce isn't big enough, that Chance would be at 106.
Or maybe if Chance wasn't to big to make 106...
Makes sense.
yes, if chance wasn't too big for 106. Kid has been growing like crazy
Yeah, he is like 8 feet tall. But he will likley run about 88,000 miles this summer, so he will still be pretty lean.
standafer from desales is at 132 but hes going 120 or 115.. he beat robert dezember about a month ago i can see him placing at 120 and winning state at 115
Dont see him beating whalen
I didn't see anyone run away with the 106lb weight class last year in terms of the state tournament itself. While Whalen in my opinion is a fine wrestler, There are others, believe me, that will have a chance to contend this year at 113 lbs.
I still dont think he would be able too, and that would make it impossible for him to win state
if Standafer can stay commited and actually drop his weight and stay thier he can beat whalen he only lost by one by ramundo perez first round at state and he was a fourth seed wrestling in two weight classes above his normal weight
Ranger has him at listed 132. I have a hard time believing he's that far off the mark. Why was he wrestling two weight classes above his weight?
Seems like a bit of a stretch to be 113. Had to be at least 122.1 to compete at 132 this year. So unless he was guzzling gallons of water prior to weighins the kid has to drop a good 10 pounds from his state weight. Maybe he has it. Not convinced at this point.
And no offense to raymundo hes a good kid but hes not on the same level as Whalen
he weighed 118.2 he was .2 off from his plan then didnt want to wrestle off with the 126 who was going 120 then he lost in wrestles off to the original 132 then had to be at 132 hes walk around weighet was 124
ok what ive heard from and seen was caleb austin is going 113 and he beat jason hall after the fact that jason beat abernathy
Gotta love people ragging on Ranger for doing this ...
Lest we forget, these are preliminary rankings. They're not set in stone or anything like that.
ok what ive heard from and seen was caleb austin is going 113 and he beat jason hall after the fact that jason beat abernathy
I think Ranger is going with results from State....not spring or summer matches where kids are usually not at their wrestling weights....You have to earn the respect from Ranger.....where on the podium they were and at what weight.....YOU HAVE TO EARN YOUR SPOT !....Good job Ranger, as usual !
Im not so sure Hiero is 170 and i think he could very well win it if he is but he could be 182 and win there as well.
Im not so sure stephen is 160 he probably is but he could be 170 or 152 as well he is weighing around 180.no BS
I think it would be dumb for Hamilton to be in the same class as Cooper when he could possibly win another class much easier I think a state Team title rests on where he goes and what he does .
I hope Bryant does go 220 because Austin will be the OW winner" if" he wins Beating two returning state champs in two years would pretty much clinch it unless Brock gets a win like he did against Reuschell last yr or Stephen and Cooper wrestle at state Or stephen takes out everyone as he did last year with no one lasting all three Or Cooper does the same .of course it could be reversed .Sorry if im overlooking anyone im just dreaming up scenarios ,I have known some kids a lot longer than others and of course i talk about them and obvious picks more often Lampe looked tough at state last yr but i do not know where he is headed weight wise and im sure Carr is a favorite again .
Eli Mathews was an All American at NHSCAs i think he turns it up and if he and Chamberle are the same weight they could actually meet in the finals at state .Eli has some good partners to go with and they are thick as thieves i think he places well at state top 5 at least possible champ if he gets his head on straight and the cards fall in place .Freshman to sophmore yr is a big change and doing things like becoming an AA over summer makes it a change for the good .
Lampe and Faust could be the matchup of the tournament .
Is that the same Lampe that wrestled Jayce last yr ranked first ahead of Faust?
CC wins the duals just going on the history of the wrestlers i know who will be there they have the top scorer from the state tournament and they will probably have the two top scorers at the duals if it takes all pins they will get them .
ENJOY!
might want to put me in there
might want to put me in there
On my list to watch, but haven't seen the spot in the lineup yet.
whenre new rankings coming out? comnew rankings?
Lets see the new rankings LMAO ,How is anyone supposed to do new rankings ,what could have changed from the last ones he did unless kids are changing weights which is possible maybe going off the few tournaments there has been and the blown up summer weights .Maybe add a few Middle school kids into the HS mix.
I did hear Trevor Thompson might be coming to CC but it could just be a rumor that would probably change some stuff up but i dont know it would be a nice move for him and CC i heard SK had some move inns and CC had another kid from Ohio move inn as well but im not sure of his credentials as far as wrestling .
well im sure ranger has also gotton a lot of pms about weight changes and 2 months of summer tournaments are enough for some change ups
Yeah, there have been a few events, but I have seen little to no results. Coach McCoy is getting me the full BGSG results.
can youu post emwhen you get em?
Now that someone has aked ....wheres those rankings everyone is bored to death and rankings always seem to get people involved and interested ,do you rank the middle school kids that would probably really get everyone excited but its probably a lot harder with wild growth spurts and new kids catching up ..
Still waiting on some results. Will update both HS and MS rankings when I get them.
might want to put me in there
Went back and read all the posts this one is the absolute best post i have ever seen on any site it says it all .
"might want to put me in there "like hey man you forgot about my awesome Kung Fu i will be sure to watch this kid when i figure out who he is ,im betting he is good ,confident and interested enough to see whats going on in the sport ,very nice .
With so much negativity i think it says a lot at least about the kids they are confident and know they can get it done.
the reason u dont know who i am is because i live in tn i will be wrestling in ky this year. as a junior . the reason im so confident cuz ky is not as good as tn wrestling and i was on the cadet national team. i am ranked 2nd in the state of tn in freestyle. i didnt get to finish my school year because of a injury. but u will find out who this is when season starts. or after super 32Went back and read all the posts this one is the absolute best post i have ever seen on any site it says it all .

Ky not as good as Tn wrestling. Hmmm. Not sure if that is true. I would have said the opposite in most casses. Being located in the Northern part of Ky we don't see many teams from Tn. But those that we have seen have not been that impresive over the years. And I would guess that only the better teams would make the trip to Lou/Lex, Nky, or SW Oh.
Some of the SK clan might be able to answer that question better since they have traveled to Tn in the past.
Well theres a difference between being confident and ignorant i dont know all the tenn kids but i have only heard of one kid from tenn and he couldnt' hang with our best hope your a 220 a 152 160 or anywhere between 126 138 ,2nd in tenn in freestylye GOLLY GEE you sure are gonna whoop up on all the kids in KY LMAO .
From your post all anyone could tell was someone beat you in Fr st in Tenn and thats not saying a whole lot and you got injured which probably means a bit more and not for the better.
? IF your ranked second in Tenn in Freestyle in your class where does that land you in Fargo duiring the placing rounds
IN THE STANDS .
what weight will this legend be wrestling this year?
what weight will this legend be wrestling this year?
I"m more curious as to where this transfer from Heritage is going to end up at in KY.
He should be a 220 or 195 from what i am getting which is spectacular because Ky has a decent 220 or 195 for him to prove his boasts against .hopefully hes a 220 .
the reason im so confident cuz ky is not as good as tn wrestling
Congrats on your past success in tn..... i mean tenn,,,,,First off if you are now a ky kid instead of a tn ...i mean tenn kid you might want to have some pride and show a little respect ..us lowly wrestling neophytes in KY get a little tired of people bashing on our kids and those of us who do stick together and for your info "WE HAVE ALREADY SEEN YOU WRESTLE "and your not going to beat any of our best by a long shot ,Its a shame i actually complimented you on your positive attitude untill it turned ugly seriously bashing KY wrestling i know 2 sophmores in our region alone that would pin you probably in the first period at your weight and a large number of lighter guys that would beat you as well ,sorry to be so nasty but good luck and welcome to KY .
Seriously, Super 32 ,are you going to try that pin yourself technique like in your matches i saw
Rather than say" KY is not as good as tn wrestling "you better be saying "Im glad im in KY because i wasn't learning anything in TENN"
its dangerous talking smack i had about ten people pm me so i could watch your matches now theres about 50 coaches in KY who have seen all of your bad habits to go along with your bad boasts im going to call you the Moth Man because your wrestling and technique is so full of holes .
Your a thick kid and could be a good wrestler try being polite and it will get you a lot further in the sport and in life "and i dont need any wisecracks about me "LOL
Do they teach that head position in Tenn because its Head and Arm city for you in KY son and as i said your thick but a bit to much most kids in your weight will be using their reach and height advantage to devestating effect. Do they know how to shoot in Tenn ?because they do in KY ,and was that an Arm spin you tried OMG .
Now look up some KY wrestlers before you start talking smack ,they dont make your mistakes and i have never heard any of them talk the smack you already have ,Thats parents jobs :;
Ranger ,i would bet that either Trevor Thompson or Austin Myers go 195 i think Trevor will more than likely go there .
i wasnt trying to like tlk smack. i was going by the state rankings. but i know im thick and short. but im actually strong if not stronger then half the kids i wrestle. this was my frist year doin freestyle. and i really didnt start wrestling until last year then i got injured. but if u saw my match at nationals agaisnt landon pelham u would see that if i was maybe not so nervous of trying to throw things and had better technique u would see that i actually probably would of beat him. and he got 2nd at fargo this year. i mean sorry for my cockyness or whatever . im always like that. i dont want to go out there thinking im goin to get beat. but im gonna be living in the louisville area. and i want to know good wrestling schools. i go to heritage now and we placed in top 8 last year and we already beat 3 teams that got top 5. we had a pre season tournement. so we are saying we will deff get top 5 hopefully first. and i just dont want to leave knowing we have a chance to do something. we didnt lose anybody so we are stacked still. so i just want to go to a school that is actually good. i dont want to be there just practicing for individual i want to be practicing to win team statethe reason im so confident cuz ky is not as good as tn wrestling
Congrats on your past success in tn..... i mean tenn,,,,,First off if you are now a ky kid instead of a tn ...i mean tenn kid you might want to have some pride and show a little respect ..us lowly wrestling neophytes in KY get a little tired of people bashing on our kids and those of us who do stick together and for your info "WE HAVE ALREADY SEEN YOU WRESTLE "and your not going to beat any of our best by a long shot ,Its a shame i actually complimented you on your positive attitude untill it turned ugly seriously bashing KY wrestling i know 2 sophmores in our region alone that would pin you probably in the first period at your weight and a large number of lighter guys that would beat you as well ,sorry to be so nasty but good luck and welcome to KY .

and btw i wont be wrestling 95 i will be wrestling lower. i jumped up a weight class at nationals
you tell me whats best to go to. i will be living in louisville. i have a cuz that lives in new albany i was gonna go there just to know somebody and wrestle with him. but he said indiana dont have team state now. and im not just in it for individual i wanna win team firstI"m more curious as to where this transfer from Heritage is going to end up at in KY.
and i would really like to watch the finals match of 182 and 195 so if u guys would put the link i would appreciate it. thanku
o and did u guys have a cadet national team?
Sheehan34 did you place at NHSCA this year? I think I have an idea of who you are.
Mpire, if Austin goes 195, I would like to be at NHSCA nationals to see that one.
Im sure louisville has plenty of schools that can help you ,I am surprised that kid took second in Fargo he looked sloppy to me .
I dont think its nerves its technique that you need to work on that kid you wrestled would get pinned by some kids i know in KY that can make 195 as well.
sounds like your not sure your even in or going to be in KY if you want to win state you better come to CC and habg out with our four All Americans LOL
And What rankings are you talking about theres about a couple dozen out there and half of em are fulla poo poo and the others are not 100 % correct either and none of em are based out of KY ,The Mpire rankings have Tn ranked waaaaay behind KY and im putting more stock in them than the sheehan rankings .
OK im sorry just having some fun ,Best of luck to you this year Sheehan welcome to Ky for real we are going to have a great year next yr i expect our FR GR teams will be getting it done and i think you will find wrestling in KY is as good as if not better than your former states .
If you find yourself overqualified for the competition wherever you end up just yell im sure we can find someone in NKY for you to wrestle we have some a bit bigger and a bit smaller that are not afraid to step up to a challenge or two .
Sheehan34 did you place at NHSCA this year? I think I have an idea of who you are.
Mpire, if Austin goes 195, I would like to be at NHSCA nationals to see that one.
I think ,well im sure he can make it for now if he wants but i dont think he will ,from the reports i got back from coaches and wrestlers at NHSCA they were pretty confident he would have done well at soph 220 and i saw schoolastic duals he did well with one really close match against a very good kid ,Austin has wrestled a lot of the higher placers "the Ohio kids "who did well at the lower weights at NHSCAs and he beat them all i think he is having fun getting big but i know some people would like to see him lean out hes about 230 now and a pudgy but dropping 10 for a powerlifting meet hes about 15 lbs off of one national record and 10 or so on another he has this year and next to break it if it doesnt change we are having a lot of fun in the gym ,
I expect Austin, Bryant and maybe Thompson will make 220 exciting this year .Austin will cert at 195 no problem and he will go wherever he thinks he has the best chance for the best matchup to take the OW from Brock Kevin Stephen and or anyone else ,He has always went up or down for the best matchups he dropped 20 + as a sixth grader to wrestle BO and bumped about 40 last yr to win the jr high OW in OH ,this year he had to go where they told him although he certified at 182 and then after the season he went 220 at NHSCA because he didnt want to cut he felt no need he would have went 195 had he went to flow but i wanted him at NHSCAs and he was going to go 195 at schoolastic duals but they wanted him at 220 for the state team and he said OK .there is no 220 in college so he either has to become a legit heavy or get used to making 195 for a looooong time ,so the easiest and probably smartest bet is to stay 220 this yr then go up jr and sr yr to prepare for College .
I think sheehan is an ok kid hes just a little misguided or underadvised about KY.
Dang no wonder people in ky get ticked everyone takes its shots .
I wish more KY teams would make the trip south rather than north. Union County comes to the GP West Tournament in Brentwood, TN every year. I can't remember the last time they won it though. They did end up at a respectful 4th place this year.Ky not as good as Tn wrestling. Hmmm. Not sure if that is true. I would have said the opposite in most casses. Being located in the Northern part of Ky we don't see many teams from Tn. But those that we have seen have not been that impresive over the years. I don't even know the kid who may be moving to KY. But Half, if any KY coach knows anything about TN wrestling it should be you.Sheehan34 did you place at NHSCA this year? I think I have an idea of who you are.
Mpire, if Austin goes 195, I would like to be at NHSCA nationals to see that one.
brentwood. is d2 there not even goodI wish more KY teams would make the trip south rather than north. Union County comes to the GP West Tournament in Brentwood, TN every year. I can't remember the last time they won it though. They did end up at a respectful 4th place this year.

So do you think Christian Bros., McCallie, or Cleveland are any good?
GP West is a strong tournament!
brentwood. is d2 there not even good
Sheehan,
Brentwood High always puts together a good team. They are D1 and placed better at individual state than your Heritage.
Buckeye,
GP West is a tough tournament. TN has tough tournaments and teams. I just wanted to add a little perspective to those who know very little about TN wrestling. I'm not trying to put down KY either, as I know they have some very tough wrestlers and teams also.

That was without Brock and all the points he would have provided.....Team KY would wipe the mat with Team TN......Way to put yourself out there Sheehan34....You have no idea what is coming your way !
Best of luck buddy,,,,,I got a feeling you are going to need it !
There's a couple of regulars missing here but I wouldn't call it the JV. Like most every team you sometimes have guys nursing wounds or getting to a different weight class. It's a good tournament. Freshman, JV and Varsity tournaments all going on at the same time. That was without Brock and all the points he would have provided.....Team KY would wipe the mat with Team TN......Way to put yourself out there Sheehan34....You have no idea what is coming your way !

well evidently someone knows a little about both state compare their state champs and figure it out for yourselves ,Ky best kids can hang with any states and at times our best will beat most states best and that includes Tenn.Sheehan you seem to have a knack for knocking people in both states perhaps thats simply your goal from the start ,your not making any friends quick and your burning bridges as you go ,now if you can back up your talk its all good but im it doesnt look like you can to me and no one whosees you wrestle will take you seriously untill you actually prove your at least a decent wrestler as of now all we have seen is you getting pinned ,your not representing the state you come from and brag about very well and on the same thread you bragged them up then ran them down .Tenn is no PA or OH and its definatly not worthy of blasting on KY .
And if a grown up actually wants to defend the argument of a kid who obviously doesnt know much about respect or wrestling then whatever Ky has kids who would make most Tenn wrestlers look lost on the matt
I think it's funny that a kid from Tennessee with a 4-4 record - including two forfeits (according to NWCA) has caused so much discussion.
I know i feel sorry for the kid im just bored and couldn't believe a Tenn person actually took up for this kids trash talk ,i dont know squat about Tenn wrestling except my Good Friend Waylon Lowe lived there and i could actually care less if they wanted to wrestle their best against ours it would be fine by me though .I watched his match on FLO and i can almost swear the kid anouncer calls him a tennessee midget ,go on Flo and watch it its Sheehan vs landon or something Cadet duals its very entertaining .all the talk just proves everyone is bored and waiting on Rangers new Rankings .
Did Tenn send a team to NHSCA scholastic Duals?
Im Still trying to process the Super 32 comment its like me saying you will know me after the Boston Marathon LMAO except i could make it sooner or later this kid might not make it through a match at 32 .
I wasn't taking up for this kid. Like many of you, I was only taking up for my state. Like I said earlier, I don't even know this kid but if he were the real deal then I would know him. TN only sends HS dual teams to Cadet and Junior Freestyle Duals.I know i feel sorry for the kid im just bored and couldn't believe a Tenn person actually took up for this kids trash talk ,i dont know squat about Tenn wrestling except my Good Friend Waylon Lowe lived there and i could actually care less if they wanted to wrestle their best against ours it would be fine by me though .I watched his match on FLO and i can almost swear the kid anouncer calls him a tennessee midget ,go on Flo and watch it its Sheehan vs landon or something Cadet duals its very entertaining .all the talk just proves everyone is bored and waiting on Rangers new Rankings .

Of course when some kid says look out for him hes going to do well because hes from Tenn and now hes in KY and KY wrestling isnt as good as Tennesses people are going to bash him ,but after looking in hes just a little .........lost to use a kind word .good luck to him and this is a KY Website anyone bashing KY and talking up other states in comparison should expect to get bombarded.
all i know is what the kid said and what i saw on the match and they contradict each other .
That said i think KYs best would poop on Tenn LMAO
okay so im not there two make friends. im there two do 3 things. try to help a team out win a state title and show everybody im a wrestler.well evidently someone knows a little about both state compare their state champs and figure it out for yourselves ,Ky best kids can hang with any states and at times our best will beat most states best and that includes Tenn.Sheehan you seem to have a knack for knocking people in both states perhaps thats simply your goal from the start ,your not making any friends quick and your burning bridges as you go ,now if you can back up your talk its all good but im it doesnt look like you can to me and no one whosees you wrestle will take you seriously untill you actually prove your at least a decent wrestler as of now all we have seen is you getting pinned ,your not representing the state you come from and brag about very well and on the same thread you bragged them up then ran them down .Tenn is no PA or OH and its definatly not worthy of blasting on KY .

yeah i got injured that year. and that was my first year wrestling. just forget everything that i said . i dont need my words to prove anything. im gonna wrestle my ass of to win . just all im saying is expect big things from meI think it's funny that a kid from Tennessee with a 4-4 record - including two forfeits (according to NWCA) has caused so much discussion.
i hope you go 220
He sounds like he really wants it , if I were him I would go 220 and beat the two state champs that are speculated to be there but you never know both of them may be 195, I personally would like to see him get in shape and go about ....... 160 or 152 .... He would probably wipe those weights out,I am guessing he does go 182 maybe 170 if he has good room and coach but who knows all I know is if he does go 220 three things will happen two :)him before he figures out life would have been easier back in VOL country one he learns not to trash talk whole states on their own website two he learns a lot more about wrestling than he dd in Tenn and three if he makes it to state he learns how many lights are on the ceiling at AllTech if he runs into the region 6 champ because he is here two do three things because he's already done one of his original 4 and that's win 3 mote State titles and pin Everyone .
It's been fun and broke up the off season boredom but someone really needs to take Sheehan under their wing and help him out hopefully he does well and gets a good mentor something he obviously lacked in Tenn but personally I like his arrogance it will make everyone come after him and his team and if he can back it up he's rockstar if he doesn't hes just a kid who wanted to wrestle and got carried away no harm no foul give him a break he's just starting out and seriously I hope he doesn't go 220 .
Sheehan I'm not sure you can find the state matches on video anywhere but you can see some of KYs state champs on flo and you tube if you look up their names .
thanku for the back up. and i am trying to get down. i wrestled 95 cuz i didnt have a choice. i usually wrestle 82. im cutting now. i would never ever go 220 i know for sure im just gonna get head and armed or over powerd. like right now we have practice tuesday and thursdays. cuz season hasnt started or whatever and those days were off i have to run myself with out somebody pushing me. its hard to just get up and go run. here in tn we start school next week and im hoping to stay after school everyday that i dont have practice and get in shape. u know. cuz ill be at home bored i get tired of playing video games and ill want to eat. and u know it sucks. but thank you for the support. He sounds like he really wants it , if I were him I would go 220 and beat the two state champs that are speculated to be there but you never know both of them may be 195, I personally would like to see him get in shape and go about ....... 160 or 152 .... Uh .............. Yeah sure thing,
When and where are you going to school in KY because I don't think you can wrestle for both states but you never know they might make an exception.

Hey when you can wrestle in two states at the same time you are a beast ,gotta go got this midnight scrimmage thing to go to thats dedication boys first day eligible to go in pads and its on at Midnight ,...got bigger problems theres a state champ who wants to be a linebacker in college and his team needs him at Nose its a strange world he needs to compromise.
thankswww.SheehanIsABeast.com
This has been fun but there are actually kids who live in Kentucky that should be the focus of this thread . Living breathing Kentucky high school wrestlers that actually live in Kentucky who have wrestled more matches than they can count on their hands .

AGREED!!
Looking at the rankings and only really knowing a a handful of kids mostly from reg 6 but seeing some of the best at state in the Heavyweight class i would be stunned if Cody Miskell does not place higher than he is ranked and actually if he isnt top three :"and honestly he should win state without a doubt "something is severly wrong he is easily the strongest kid in that class and he barely makes the limit he has been working and going to camps all summer getting it done on his own his only weakness is his young team and he will not have any partners to go with at Practice .if he were on the right team he would pin through the year barring a couple of moves and he should easily be the breakout wrestler of the year in KY someone dropped the ball with him last year he should have been on the podium without question . I said it first .....its a shame had he a couple more years and a good room he would easily be a good D1 wrestler and still could be . im not stretching the truth a bit if he were my kid he would be trying to figure out wich powerhouse team he was going to go to in college hes a genetic freak ,
Trevor Thompson should do a bit better than predictted as well i was surprised to see another jr ranked ahead of him after winning TOC and hitting some of the in state tournys "I saw him at the games he looked fairly good with only a little bit of rust he opened himself up once but was never in danger of losing ''He could be top three at any of three weights ,doubt he would attempt anything under 195 though ,surprised he didnt squeak in somewhere at 220 last yr i saw a lot of sr in there and i think one side of the bracket was a bit tougher minus one wrestler not sure which side Trevor was on but he still should have managed his way back through the wrestlebacks .I would be shocked if he isnt higher than predicted at state .With the jr high kids in Ky allowed in i think WV may have a few surprises up their sleeve and give everyone a hint of how their future will be they will not be a team that goes under after the Jones brothers are gone by a longshot their best is yet to come and the Jones should be there leading the way for all the young talent coming up .They have a young man named Mason Smith who is tearing it up across the country winning tournys in multiple states the last few weeks including the Ohio state fair hes a young fearless type who along with another of his teammates could end up being comparable to Brock and Jayce in the future a great one two combo for any team anywhere .
Then there is Campbell county who won the jr high state championship oddly enough i have really only noticed a couple of them and one i think is not even in jr high but is a freakin little beast and another who may not make the HS team due to depth .I find it hard to believe when people say the lighter weights in KY are weak it is not the case historicaly Oh has incredible lightweights but i do not think that diminishes a neighboring states skill at that class i do however think KY is very talented in their middle weight classes at least in the upper end and may have an upper weight class that is loaded at the top if everyone doesn't fan out .
As far as team goes i think the champs are still the champs untill proven otherwise ;)it may be anyone of the big three teams to take but in a big tourny setting i like CC odds maybe a bit better than everyone elses Big scorers can be a major factor and i think CC has more big scorers four AAs this summer and another wrestler who could win state if he is in the right spot or has a good day and is ready, strange seeing a runner up from last yr who lost to the OW winner not ranked top two i know the two ranked ahead of him are a champ and another runner up and im not disagreeing or agreeing but as a ranker looking at it on paper Hamilton would be second not third Perhaps all questions of that will be answered before state with a possible Jones Hamilton matchup , a team thinking their top scorers will win for them will end all hopes of winning back to back titles and depending on who goes where it will be hard to tell I still think they are deeper than most think with a few from last year that can improve to make up lost ground after losing Yenter and Frank ,there is still the same amount of kids if not more who should place and Austin will score more points at state this year than he did last year i think he scores more than anyone did at last yrs tournament which means he gets one more pin than last years top scorer who will be trying his hardest to outscore him .I do not think anyone can predict where many of CC kids will be but i guess that goes for everyone .Its going to come down to a chess game where whoever picks the right weights wins a state team title then again it could be a massacre where numbers and talent both make it an easy win .
That is unless the Sheehan hops in there and messes up everyones day by dethroning one of KYs big dogs .
cmon Buckeye its the only game in town the board boredom has to be broken up somehow,Hey you guys down in Union wouldnt be trying to tip the scales in your favor by recruiting THE Sheehan would you that wouldnt be right

You wouldn't happen to have a phone number for the Tennessee legend would you?
Just call Trinitys AD i hear he has it .............OMG
i doYou wouldn't happen to have a phone number for the Tennessee legend would you?
Tennessee Legend = Waylon Lowe yea i have his number somewhere
Might be going 182
I would not want to be a kid with a 2 - 4 record entering. State I just blasted on . Oddly enough 182 is probably the best spot for him returners will probably be at 195 and 220 and Canter and Hiero may both be at 170 I would like to see Hiero wrestle Sheehan though just knowing him and his background It would not be pretty .
Oh, for the love of God man, PLEASE go 220...i hope you go 220
hiero is going 82, and id like to see canter go 82 and see him win em self a state title
i do
Sorry to mislead you. I was just having a joke with Mpire, I DO NOT want your phone number!!!
Good Luck in the future.
LOL
good Luck sheehan you know we are just messin with you ,thanks for breaking up our boredom good luck and if your going to 32 you better get workin ,
I heard that Ranger was really posing as Sheehan to keep everyone occupied and keep the focus off the rankings LOL seriously though did everyone not notice how all the focus switched .
And no one even commented on my trinity comment ,i thought foor sure it would get blown out of the water but i guess that ship has sailed to many times it sunk long ago ,
And i have nothing against private schools to each their own but i would not argue against different state tournys for them as far as Team scores go.
WTH all the studs heading to Woodford cty ,Nice pick up if its true A great kid wrestler and Family ,Nate Boston WOW kids a beast the lighter weights just got a lot tougher in ky and the Lawsons if its true are studs a bit after my boys youth time in Oh but i have heard a lot about them and seen them around they will take advantage of the rules in KY allowing jr high wrestlers to compete in HS Woodford just picked up a couple more state placers and a possible ultimate matchup in the lightweights at around 126 or so .
Woodford still isnt going to win state though .unless they pick up three more beasts then you never know .this is already starting out to be a great year .and even though they may not win state they could throw a big monkey wrench into someones chances even CCs.
Naaah
Boston is lighter than 126. Or did you mean Lawson?
I have not seen him in over a year I was just going off of what I heard I would not want to see that matchup at state but I would anywhere else , not many people would understand its just I like to see good wrestling but I like to see good wrestlers get what they deserve even more and not at the expense of other great wrestlers while those less deserving get the same rewards.
Im weak hearted I guess I have often almost felt bad when my own kids have beaten good kids but of course felt worse when my own lost particularly when they have worked their hardest .
Either way it should be interesting if it's true and I'm sure it will make the transfer conspiracy questions of last year pale in comparison , it certainly makes me wonder considering its two family's not just one and if I had to guess I would say they have crossed paths before at one place or another ??? Not that it matters it's all for the best as they will help raise the bar in ky add to the talent pool and bring more wrestling gold back from outside of the state it's a great thing and they will make all those around them and ther weight better either by contact or by scattering them where they will still run into different matchups .
But Im not sure of anything just going off rumors but it is interesting as a few studs can reshape the. Brackets and reshape who does what as far as teams when it counts a few pins here and there a 30 to 60 +point shift at state taking from some adding to another Makes it a whole new ballgame or it could mean nothing .
Heard Boston wasn't going to make the move after all, due to an eligibility issue. Decided to stay in Indiana. Just what I heard.
is this any relation to Rob Boston who wrestled for Woodford and graduated in 90?
Nathan Boston is Rob's middle son. The family moved to Indianapolis about 12 years ago due to a job transfer. The office in Indianapolis has closed and the family wants to go back home to help take care of the parents that have been sick over the recent years. Nathan is enrolled in Woodford because that is were the grandparents live and his father was born and raised. The family home in Woodford was never sold. They are officially moved back to Versailles.
Mr. Myers,
You are correct, the lawsons and Boston knew each other from the years of training at Graham. I was told that the Lawsons moved to Versailles due to a Job opportunity in Lexington and Woodford was very simular in size to St. Paris Graham. The Boston's also have known the Myers studs for many years as well. Actually, Stephan and Nathan trained together for a period of time. I assure you this was not a long drawn out plan but an opportunity. Joe Carr found this out 2 weeks ago but probably didnt beleive it until they showed up the first day of school. I know the Boston family is very excited about getting back home. They have been trying to find the right opportunity for atleast five years.
I could see Trevor at 106/113 Nathan 113/120 Kyle at 120/126 but that's only my opinion because of their weights today. Kentucky is home!
I am not sure where the person got their information about moving back to Indy and elibility problem.
Sorry if the info wasn't correct, like I said was just what I heard.
So that cat is out of the bag. How many KY wrestlers are now nationally ranked?
This Is a nice addition for the state and particularly for Woodford adding a few national level kids who have competed at the upper level across the nation means the sport in the state is growing that much more and looking ahead I hope adds another AA hopeful to team KY , I remember Nate very well from Prodigy he was a fearless talented wrestler who added to that very talented room a great wrestling family and Mr Boston was always helpful to everyone the kind Of guy who scoped things out and would report back from tournaments and let you know what was happening with your kids matches when you were not there very knowledgable and very helpful he will be a great asset to his sons team and state . You couldn't ask for anyone better to enter the state or have on your team .
Adding the Lawson's is surely a huge Benifit for the future of their team and a big boost for the state as I said they are a bit younger than my own boys but I have seen them around and they are legit studs no one goes through their youth wrestling hanging out at Graham without becoming studs and they have made their mark quite a few state titles will be heading towards Woodford .
Just hope that mom doesn't razz me in the stands again but I think her son is in college now so maybe we have buried the hatchet .
I think my request to add some of the Jr High kids into the High School mix of rankings just took on a bigger role in your job Ranger i have heard from some reliable sources as well as seen for myself that there are some jr high kids who will do very well in High school this year maybe even top the charts .
way to long ranger come on, now that those kids are in school i know you got plenty of free time
Well .while everyone is waiting why doesn't everyone else give it a shot ,if you do not know all the classes just cover the ones you do know ,
i think Woodford will move way up in the rankings getting three new high placers and a couple very possible champs as far as teams go .
the problem is i do not think there will be all the studs at the weights they could go they are becoming very cramped and everyone will be looking at where they can win easiest ,heavy will be a toss up where i think an underdog takes it all 220 could be one of the toughest classes as far as winning it if Bryant, Austin and Trevor Thompson are there but i doubt they are all at this weight and they all probably certify at 195 ,at 195 i see one of them winning it whoever doesnt go 220 ,182or 9 or whatever that class is i have no clue perhaps Hiero and at 170 you have Canter,Jones and Chamberle more than likely i have not seen canter wrestle that much and i have seen Hiero improve a lot over the years i would have to go with Hiero although Canter looked great against Jude but i did not see him do anything extraordinary to make that a big deal other than look like a tank and the freshman AA Mathews could be in the mix around here as well it would be nice to see him go up as there may be a shot at a title in it for someone.
160 i wont comment perhaps a rematch of last years 152 finals ,152 looks like Cooper or the possible matchup of the century ,145 could be cooper if he goes his fargo weight but Hamilton and Polly will probably be there as well all three would make it a very tough class with everyone else there ,138 Jayce Hamilton Polly more than likely Jayce ,132 Jayce Brock Lampe unless Lampe is 38 or 45 who knows ,132 Brock or i havent a clue not sure where Fauz is going but he will be in the mix around this weight ,126 ,Brock Fauz ,killebrew all depends ,
120 Boston,113 probably someone scattering 106 Lawson ,
Of course i only have a slim grasp of who is where and who is who i have not seen all the kids and i know there are a lot more studs out there in ky some i have heard of others i have not Courtney ,Parrot, the other Lampe tons of others who will be in the mix Rearic for sure .i know there used to be another Fahy that wrestled but i have not heard anything about him perhaps he does other sports .
Regardless i think the state tournament is going to be better this year than last a lot of quality srs and studs from top to bottom i see maybe two weak weight classes and one may not be so weak ,the Hvy class is suspect and i see the 180s being a bit weak the lighter classes are tough the middleweights are loaded and there are a few bigger studs for sure the best match may be at 220 with two returning champs but im not sure anyone will see it that way and wherever Lampe goes all eyes will follow he could be the upset maker ,i heard Jayce was injured last year duiring their match but it was very entertaining and close ,I see no challengers for Brock or Boston but each other except possibly Faust if they are the same weight and the same for Kevin and Stephen ,Polly and Hamilton will probably be a match to watch Hiero and Canter or Lane Jones if they are all at 170 could be interesting ,If i were Chamberle i would go 182 or whatever that class is he can win there just as easy and without the stress of cutting he may be even better ,i would like to see him win he also wrestled Jude very well last year and he has worked hard for years ,He and Fauz both deserve titles from what i have seen over the years .
KY crush I like most of what you said however there is no way that Thompson or Bryant are anywhere near Austin Myers. Both would be lucky to make it out of the first period, maybe the first minute with Austin.
No disrespect intended but 195 was the weakest wt. class at state last year.
I heard brock is at 26, then wurth at 32, and jayce at 138. I also heard justin lampe is most likely going 145 and little lampe going 60. So id say fausz should have that title and killibrew graduated. Heiro will also be going 82... just what ive heard
I did not pay very much attention to 195 last yr after the beginning of the year i am just going off of what i have been told and results ,i did see Bryant speaking on you tube but i did not see his match which seemed rather odd i would be more interested in watching a match than listening to what the wrestler who wins or even hearing what their coach has to say or at least see the match then hear what he has to say Listening to the Trinity faithful at the bluegrass games they held him in very high regard as far as football and Wrestling and some of them have stated very firmly that he can win 220 ,being from Nky of course i know better i am not sure about anyone beating decent kids in the first minute at those weights kids have a tendency to RUN RUN RUN from studs and i know a kid who will be looking to pin pin pin ,oddly enough i read on this site where some were saying 220 was weak last yr but i think that has been proven false .As for Trevor i simply like him i know he will go wherever Austin does not go both are capable of doing well at either 195 or 220 you probably see Trevor and Bryant battling it out for 195 and i think trevor may just be the shocker in this one he will be training a lot with Austin i suspect this next yr and together they may just bring another title back to NKY ,i know that Trinity will move their studs around like they did last yr with Hitchings .the big question will be where will Austin end up im sure he will be loooking ahead at NHSCA again as well as Fargo and he was not a full blown 220 last year still think he stays 220 in prep for a hvy move his upperclassmen yrs to prepare for College .
The lighter Lawson will be in the mix for a title and im not sure where Rearic lands in all this but he will be in the mix .i also think some other Jr high kids from NKY may end up making state it is actually one of our goals ,one of mine anyway ,I know i have left out a lot of kids and maybe got some stuff way wrong but i was just guessing and thats all rankings really are educated guesses.
either way now it has been a while since the last rankings ,
Perhaps people could break it down by region rather than state then break it down further ,at this point no one really knows where a lot of kids are going just some good thoughts on a handful of kids and maybe some who wrestled over the summer ,
Either way kids who spend time in our room are going to kick butt and after state we will be having a lot of brackets hanging on our walls ,and hopefully it will be the new home of Kys newest All Americans as well as its best conditioned and i guarantee its strongest athletes .
have to get a plug in ,
So where is Fauz going 132 i do not know who Wurth is ?Hiero will do well at 182 i do not know who else will even be there ,
How could a kid 2 weight classes higher than their brother be little ?
So Lampe Polly and Hamilton all at 145 could make it very interesting .
Oddly enough with Hiero at 182 it might open up another state title for Nky as i suspect Lane Jones may be at 170 and i am thinking he may get a lot of work in with Stephen at Crush i know Canter is very good though and i am not being disrespectful to anyone just plugging the kids i think will be in our room Stephen and Lane Austin and Trevor and i have heard the Lampes may be there some as well from what i hear our room will be perfect for them .
yea fausz is going 32, and wurth is the unions 20 from last year, i think he got 6th, and i simply meant younger with the lampes, maybe tevon clay and ahern possibly at 145?? 182 will be a good weight class. i think that the Matthews from campbell will give Hiero a pretty good match, and if canter is at 182 i honestly see him beating Hiero.
I thought Mathews would be 170 he's not big enough for 182 at state but would make a nice sised 170 there, Hiero is a Sr with a ton of experience ,i am a realist i like Mathews a lot he is a Freshman AA and can give Hiero a run but i think Hiero goes all out and that includes spending time at Crush with Stephen Myers who will be a different creature all together than last year not setting out and having a solid club setting to get extra training in ,Hiero was the shocker at state last year and i think he wins this year SK needs him and Cooper to win to have a shot and i know how he and his family wants it ,I am a dreamer at heart it will happen for him .Looking deeper into the subject and peoples prejudices Hiero is Hiero he is his own man and he is a good kid who has worked more than most for the sport .If he comes we will be hanging a copy of his state bracket on the wall at Crush .next to the others .
Wait a second .....Why the Heck would Canter go 182 he was small last year i thought he certified at 152 ,are you partying or something LOL
Wow, I have not been on here much in a while but I can not believe the spineless people on this site.It was less then a year ago when everyone on this site hated whatever empire had to say(or whatever screen name he had). Now most agree with the things he says.I am not going to say anything negitive about his kids because all I have heard are good things about them.I did not go to the state tournament last year JUST because of the spineless decision of the KY athlettics board.I guess they were scared. It had nothing to do with the kids but RULES ARE RULES and if you are going to break them just because you are afraid of a person then get out,you don't need to be in there. So many other kids were denied what they did or less then what they did its not funny. If my son ever transfers and is denied to wrestle I will use all the post on this site when i see them in court.Mr.Meyers goes against everything I have been trying to change about my son.I am sure my son gets on here and reads all the BS about the meyers kids(from their dad)being AA and nobody in KY has a chance against them. Then the dad throws a few compliments to a few other kids and their teams jump on his band wagon. My son has talked to Mr.Meyers and told me not to ever say anything to him because he is so big.And i told him I will never agree with someone out of fear,if I don't believe what they are saying I will let them know and if you cant do that you will never be your own man.I could go back in the history of this site and pull up many many times how the meyer(from dad) have just destroyed so many kids.Reminds me of Cael Sunnon(not sure on spelling)Very great MMA fighter but for gosh sakes shut up,kids are watching you and acting like you. People I have alot of respect for are now on the Meyers band wagon, just because of how good they are.I am so glad i sent my son to ST.X where he will learn from the coaches with the most class in the state, life is more than wrestling and to treat all with respect..I don't think you will see any of them on here blowing their own horn but i will bet they will be a force when state rolls around. They will probley be mad at me for posting this but they are better men then me and thats why I sent my son there. And yes Mr.Meyers if I were like you I would be on here saying how can my son not be ranked he has done this and that but frankly I could care less about rankings. Andy Bindner.
Spineless ,spineless . Spineless is that your favorite word ,, tell us how you really feel about me lol , sorry but all I have done is talk about wrestling and said nothing remotely bad about any kid and even when talking wrestling and speculateing outcomes and rankings I try to compliment kids from across the state some I know nothing about other than what I have heard or only seen one time if that . I'm not sure what your problem is if I failed to talk about your kids or your favorites oh well I'm the first to say I do not know everyone and usually only talk about kids from our area although I admire many I have seen or watched from across the state .all this talk is speculation And I have done it said anything negative to anyone or kid .
As for last year myself and my kids came under fire of course I would take up for them and comment on those attacking us and the decision letting them wrestle , in my opinion they should have wrestled sooner and been allowed to go their weights but I was glad they got to wrestle as you shoul have been too they added to the tournent to the state and the sport wether you like it I not they are good kids because We raised them that way , I am glad you didn't go to the tournament last yeaPr your kharma would have ruined everyone's good time and you didnt deserve to be there anyway your obviously a troubled person ,
I doubt very seriously anyone is afraid of this beat up old man and Im not that big at least not these days .
Funny , if you loved the sport and respected people so much and were worried about kids being respectful you wouldn't tell lies and hide at home duiring the state tourny .I have not ran any kids down only stated facts or things as I see them showing my side of a debate or problem ,
I do not think someone trying to help the kids in his area and the state or who is passionate about the sport is a harmful thing on the other hand someone like you who seems a bit obsessed a little deranged and a whole lot full of do do is Definatly bad for the sport
Sorry if you feel left out or you think your private school hasn't been talked about enough good for you and your Force lol when state rolls around sorry your kid isn't ranked where you like which is why you are crying in the first place ,
Well now you don't have anything to piss and moan about my sons are not transfers anymore and I guess after they have went through all the bs and came out ok people like you have to drum up old news , Mr Binder and yes I spelled your name wrong like you did mine and Sonnen's
As for using this site in court and any of my posts should your kid be refused to wrestle or whatever fantasy you live in
Newsflash ... This is a forum a message board for info and debate that has nothing to do with state decisions or anything remotely to do with law "you are obviously a bit confused " about that and anyone at khsaa being afraid of a handicapped old man that none of them have ever seen ,
If you don't like what someone is trying to do or what their kids have done why don't you try to do something constructive yourself rather than spread lies and cause trouble yourself not that you did you just showed everyone that there are whackos out there who comment on things they know nothing about .
If you want to hear about other kids by all means talk about them it's a message board that is a bit dead at times anyway but don't blast on people for not being afraid to talk wrestling brag or attempt to help the sport , my son is going to a D1 college to wrestle which is one of the iltate goals in this sport he and we deserve more of that respect you are talking about , he and his brother deserved to wrestle last year period if it shook up your plans or anyone else's so what that's life they went through more bs than any other kids in the state few people know all the facts or choose to hear them and even after all that they still competed for the state and represented it at the upper levels in the sport making those khsaa officials look rather well for letting them compete last year , that's right I'm bragging two all Americans two more studs on team ky and a national champ and ow raised and trained by you guessed it chump .... Me , I hope your kid isn't 220 or 160 I don't want to hear you crying at state when your kid gets pinned ,
And don't worry all the private schools still have football I know it must be frustrating hanging around with all the holier than thou crowd and big money sports star cliques and not be the talk of the day but oh we'll maybe Union SK CC and all the public schools will just not show up this year at state or you guys can boycott because some studs went to CC or Woodford instead of your school lol
That was fun
So after being informed by my vast network of friends about who the heck just blasted me I understand why he didn't show up at state , he probably didn't have anyone in the tournament he's upset that a 7th grade transfer is probably going to rain on his parade and he has issues with people who train since he is more of the Danny Devito type than the Arnold Schwarzenneger type ,
And by the way I do not think I have ever talked to your son and if I did I showed him nothing but kindness and respect which is more than I hear you have done , never heard of someone ditching their kid out of state for going two and out before and I know an awful lot of crasy dads .now I have been assaulted by the Napoleon of wrestling funny just like him you leave the troops stranded when the going gets tuff .
Whs 98 why don't you tell us what your son has done and why he should be ranked your blatant attack on me and my two years of psychology "lol " tells me that's what your deeper issue is why don't you attack ranger for leaving your kid out of his rankings and dont worry about me or mine as we have never Never mentioned you or yours and have no reason too . As for my boasts and braggs and arguments I'm the first to admitt I'm one of those dads except I'm confident in my own abilities and yes I did say hey my son should be number 1 last yr but it was half hearted an a bit of a jest even though I thought he would pull it off . On comparison my other son was not even ranked first in regions and I never said a word knowing it was a big mistake as far as seeding or ranking goes , it's always happened to him I have only seen him get ranked higher than he placed once in his life .
Sorry you have a problem with outspoken athletes or people who speak as they please about their kids or athletes . Guess you hate nearly every great athlete because they all talk smack your problem is you have no smack to talk because you have to back the smack and you hide behind a visage of we are to good to talk smack because we are classy lmao its always the same if you can't back your smack shut up and Don't try to make a name for yourself by arguing with the big boys congrats on your kids success in middle school
But your entering the big time now and your dumb enough to trash talk kids who are working hard and have worked hard their whole life and who have done what you can only dream of seeing done .And yes I'm telling you right now you can't get here from there so curl back up into whatever hole you crawled out of , you didn't go to state because you were not the center of attention ,I will be at state when my kids are wrestling in college not worrying about anyone's decisions on who is wrestling where that has absolutely no effect or is no buisness of mine , of course my next multiple x champ will be in the stands with me heaven forbid I forget him somewhere or leav him for not being good enough lol .
I have met Mpire once and he's a nice, laid back guy. That's all I have to say about WHS98's post.
The Napoleon vs the Kardashians of Kentucky wrestling......Nice
WHS: I believe you are talking about 2 different things here. One is the kids themselves. Which is what most of the people on here are talking about. The KIDS ability and how they wrestle. That in my opinion cannot be doubted. The two of them are exceptional wrestlers, and me saying that does not put me on one side or another of last years fiasco.
The second is how the situation was handled by KHSAA, Campbell and the parents of the Meyers. That issue had people siding one way or another. I believe that no-one from either side has changed their opinion on that. Agreeing with what MPire has to say on here does not mean that person is in Cahoots with MPIre. The truth is the truth, like it or not.
I have disagreed with many people on this site for many years now. And still disagree with them, (team points Ahem). But I can still agree with them on other issues.
I live by the rule "Say what you mean and mean what you say". I have found that if you follow this rule no-one will ever read anything into what you are saying.
As always;
These are the opinions of GOO and no-one else. You can take them or leave them, it doesn't really matter to me or to the rest of the world.
GOO out.
I guess that's funny I don't really get it but ok I mean you have to have something to vs with you just can't challenge the champ out of the blue there has to be some sort of protocol.I guess knowing you or your kid will never have to be on the opposite side of the same mat in a tourny makes it easy to pick an argument . But what gives some guy with a freshman who got dissed in some rankings the right to attack the Mpire .Is this guy insane I mean Napoleon had an army this guy has a ... Well I don't care what he has because I have a Phenom and an Abomb and I never left them anywhere"I only threatened to if they lost " I plan on being in Louisville next weekend watching my stud freshman state and national champ become the state powerlifting champ and soon to be national powerlifting champ because that's what I do i make monsters bro im Dr Frankenstein and I would prefer to be compared with the Hearts as in the Hitman rather than the Kardashians it just doesn't make sense ,actually I prefer no comparisons at all but if you have to diss the Mpire have fun we laugh at it as well . I have done more with each of my two than Napoleon did with his one at his stage of the game before my boy set foot in HS he already had a plaque from Fargo Napoleon doesn't know which side of the Mississippi it's on of course it would be a long walk back for his kid if he didn't please his excellency and good luck to him at state this year if he doesn't want to see the biggest freshman state champ ever come one step closer to being the biggest 4x state champ ever he can stay home again , Hopefully I didn't tick to many people off that's usually what happens when someone pushes buttons you retaliate and tick more people off either way this goof tried to rain on our parade for no reason and if anyone can't see that that's their problem and we will rain on theirs .
WHS98, don't feel so bad. My kids in his region and doesn't give my kid any love either. No offense Mpire...I still think you're a good dude:)
Im still stunned at all the conspiracy thinking there was no ,secret conversations no nothing i/we never talked to anyone in person or on the phone from KHSAA and neither did my wife they do not talk to parents i was told ....and i was told my kids should be able to wrestle when we moved and at theiir weights they certified at and they were not and not cleared till regionals ,i am glad they were but they were the ones who were wronged not being able to train for months and setting then being told you can wrestle but have to go your pre xmas weight then told again you made weight but before a certain time so you still have to go up ,either way there was no conspiracy Coach B had no clue whatsoever we were going to CC and them winning state had nothing to do with it although it was great and being on a good team was important ,i went to CC so it was logical for my kids to go there i dont see the reason for all the drama about it and my kids do not deserve to be shortchanged as they were and still seem to be in odd ways because of moving .My kids did their best to get ready and even went out on a limb at the national tournys after only wrestling a short season once on the KY TEAM that they did well on ,I dont think Khsaa was scared i think they thought they did what was fair and best for the sport and they did ,years from now people will see that if they do not already my kids taking heat from people at school and around the state is a joke we moved they wrestle and they earn their spot and do well end of story ,some of the people complaining at their school probably were fine with it when they thought their weights did not interfere with their own agendas and kids and i doubt anyone anywhere would have said a word if they were kids with losing records .
We THE MYERS handled the situation the best way we thought we could we pushed for them to wrestle waited it out and stayed quiet on the whole thing untill all the dust settled ,now its done and over they are not transfers so why are people still crying ,and why is this guy coming on here and blasting me when ,actually i have done nothing but try to help defend KY wrestlling make it better and try to see everyones point of view and help them compromise on here ,of course i have fun brag and make plans and argue with Otto for knocking our Olympians LOL but i care for a lot of kids i have met and i want them ALL to win and i am passionate about training and sports ,and like goo said he believes you say what you mean well i mean to say i dont like this guy talking smack about me or my kids or their situation i think his kid was a jr high kid last yr when all this was going on i think hes mad because no one mentioned his kid and i think im getting ticked and carried away but i dont care i guess he thinks hes slick drumming up past bs about transfers and about argumentative people in hopes of gaining some support for his own situation ,That being his kid might be getting his lunch handed to him by another transfer .
Now read what i have said if you can get past my rantings and ask yourself what this guys real agenda and problem is ,
And following Goos advice and meaning what i say X may be a force but not the unstoppable Force of the MPIRE do you want to compare trophy cases with us Binder you or your team ,and i mean just the MPIRE do that first then critique me or any move i have made because this is a wrestling board and we are talking wrestling keep all your hogwash phony ethical hollier than thou crap to yourself because everyone in the nation is SICK SICK SICK to death about hearing about the greatness of the Private school institution its great it has advantages its the idiot parents who pump it up and lord it over everyone else and claim to have no unfair advantages that ruin it .Besides in KY the public schools seem to be owning the private schools in the wrestling world .
Great that he thinks he sent his kids to a private school to be coached by the guys with all the class in the state what a bunch of bs
I have no clue what he is talking about kids being denied what they did ,i know a bit about that though i saw a kid walk through a field at a state tourny last year like i never have before and get dissed on an OW that had any other kid in the state done what he did would have clinched it with ease and i saw a freshman win state at 220 wich is fairly unheard of in this sport then win a national title and ow and still get put down and doubted untill he shut everyone up yet again .thats kids being denied
Maybe dad needs to go to school with his kid to learn about some of that class he is bragging about or maybe he needs to wrestle with my boys and learn about some wrestling ,or maybe he needs to learn who he is blasting,of course we are opposites he is living LARGE through his kids doing things he never did i am living LARGE through my kids as well but i ask nothing of them i never did of myself .
Pin and win who is your kid ,im sure i love him too and i bet i can find some post where i complimented him or maybe not i always say i do not know everyone and i am sorry if i leave anyone out ,but as for Binder i will tell him as i was told about Stephen when he came into HS in OH and no offense to him his kid has not had Stephens run in Jr High they said he had to earn his rankings a jr high OW winner and multiple x national champ and ranked kid ,i just thought that after becoming An All American in Fargo he would have instant ranking but haters still hate .and he earned his respect extra quick
oh well stay Classy Binder and i will stay what i am father of two inhumanly insanely talented wrestling demigod powerhouse fate changing state team champion changing
Number ONE ranked state champion BEASTs
and a four year old MONSTER
duh ....i know who you are pin and win and i know who your kid is ,Hes one of my favorite kids ,i can't rank him he's my buddy ,and i dont know the lightweights that well anyway ,but i have mentioned your son before he is a beast and i have shown him a lot of love i know he makes the podium this year and i think i have already said so ..i just dont know how high i have no clue of the depth or where everyone goes in the lighter classes particularly .
I'm kidding:) I know you do. I'll say this. You have made a complete 180. I know where you where coming from in the beginning. You took a lot of heat but I was just telling Bindner that I think that you have become an ambassador to ky wrestling. I think that you have the states best interest at heart. I think that stephan and Austin and you have given ky wrestling a boost actually in the fact that you are making kids realize what they could achieve through hard work. I just think you made the wrong choice in what school district you chose lol!!
LOL,what you took from my post is that I am mad about rankings.I could care less about them I commend Ranger all the time for taking the time out of his day to do it.If you go back about 2 yrs the only ranking of Rangers I didn't like was the one where he said he didn't see anyone touching Aj.Aj read it, comes boasting, patting himself on the back to me and said hey look dad Ranger says he don't think anyone will touch me.What happened that year? He got it handed to him and if you know anyone that really knows me I said he got exactly what he deserved.Started talking trash that year figured he didn't have to train hard, lost a lot of respect from many coaches.Who got MOW that year? the kid that beat him.I think some coaches voted for that kid(Wiley) just because he shut Aj up.Not that Wiley didn't earn it because he did he wrestled great. One coach other than ours, that I know of came over to Aj and said some very nice things to him.Wrestling is more then just being good, you are good and you will bounce back but you need to work on alot of other things about your attitude. That coach was Rivercitys and he had every reason not to talk to Aj because Aj left Rivercity a few years back over a very childesh thing but he was a child(9yrs old) and he understood that.Later that year after team ky Aj said he they would have him he would like to go back to Rivercity. He showed some improvement so I wanted to continue on at St.X, not just to make him a better wrestler but a better person. Why all that said? and why I gave my 2 cents worth about you?Because some of the people that Aj made mad over the years started jumping on your band wagon, even after they said Aj talked to much and you were 100 times worse.I guess they just want to win so their principles don't matter.I never and I repeat never have said bad things about your kids or anyone elses on this site.I know how good they are their actions speak louder than any words. So on your replys and I told Aj to read them and tell me what he took from them, and I guess he is finally starting to get why i tried to change him.You said Empire the Khsaa made the right decision because they both won state and they were good for the sport. So if they would have lost I guess they made the wrong choice? You also said I only say these things because I will never be on the other side of the mat agaisnt yout kid ,so If we were, and your kid kicks mines butt(and I know they would) then you are also right again since then again, they won.Sorry man don't buy in to that way of thinking and never will.Like you said it is a chat board and I wanted to vent my thoughts like you have no problem doing. When Aj gets a little cocky,I tell him I might have to check his DNA he could be your son,but I don't want to insult you I know he his not on their level. As for the good athletes all talking trash,it seems you are talking about the good ones that always seem to be in trouble or disrupt the team.Terrel Owens,Chad Johnson and many others. But the true role models for the sport are guys who just let their game do the talking Michel Jordon,Tom Brady just to name a couple. And last,as for the Holyer than thaw comments, don't take it out on St.X over my thoughts, they are just mine and I could use a lot moe religion in my life
LOL ,I'm no role model by a long shot more of a do as i say not as i do kind of guy ,Its hard for me i like nearly all the kids i meet and i mean no disrespect to any kids in other parts of the state i'm a home team player a bit on the defensive in OH the south gets bashed by the north ,i dont want to bash anyone unless they are bashing me or us .and i know i take the region stuff too seriously
I think there is always a way to make a weakness a strength Ky does not have massive numbers so it should be easier to pull together as a state i think the coaches and kids did a great thing with Team KY at NHSCA i hope they continue to do that type of thing in the future i think there is a huge opportunity for kids to improve if people are not afraid to trust in what they have to work with no need to be conned into thinking you have to go elsewhere ,i have seen people in KY for years i would let coach or train my kids and who have done a great job one in particular who has proven he knows the sport ,but i think people are afraid to go for it or trust someone that is down to earth or says it like it is or simply trust in themselves ,its a lack of confidence issue i do not need someone to telll me how to train my kids just because they have been doing it longer or people think they are nicer or classier i will listen watch learn and use what i think is good and throw the rest away and improve ,in the end you figure out the basics are what wins and i have not seen a kid in this state that can not win or improve from doing the basics more often and with more focus on technique the basics and training win period i mean you see a kid win a state and national title with a good stance a decent shot a good slide bye and some good riding skills the other stuff is simply icing ,well an inside life saving trip but you get the picture ,I know you know where i am coming from a good hard room with intensity and a little extra training will make a world of difference the kid who stays after and trains does more on the matt and in the gym will win ,the people who think you can buy a champ with fancy wrestling and fancy training are wrong its not fancy its hard ,kids will pick up the slick stuff as they go but constantly focusing on the basics will make super champions ,some extra horsepower and speed helps as well .
watching all the KY kids this year i picked out a few very common weaknesses a lot of shooting with their head down its bad everywhere and a lot of lateral motion no circling and shots are not set up well most are just crude leaps at someones legs no pulling stepping or nice set ups ,its not with everyone but its a big error across the board ,i saw a lot of it at state some kid takes a sloppy shot in the semis on the whistle and ends up on his back in less than 2 seconds ,"Shouldnt Happen "at the skilled weights or anywhere actually in that stage of the game ,
i saw kids who obviously drill extensively year in and out totally dismantle some good kids shooting at will after getting them out of their stance with little effort and im not talking about my kids ,
anyway enough of that not sure why i got bushwhacked sorry if i disrespeted anyone the only person i messed with was paul and he knows i was just mesing with him he is my sons teammate and i give him crap for goofing off just as i do my own son they can be deadly or dudly together i guess we will see this season .Ryle has an advantage in a way they have a young team and a fearles coach with an aweome schedule they impressed the heck out of me coming into CC last year taking their momentum and CCs poor attitude that day and beating them at home very impressive ,Of course that momentum will be different this year i dont see them cc making that mistake again and its a different year ,impressed with Ryle having the big tourny mentality and hosting a big one i think they are stepping up and other schools should as well CC needs to have a big home tourny as well jr high champs HS champs you have to step it up to represent ,
Never said or meant if they would have lost khsaa would have been wrong i said they moved over a bad situation they wrestle and they deserved it regardless they are good kids AND NEVER had an ATTITUDE problem at least not on the mat as you are saying your kid had ,you sound as if your grade school kid chose to leave his team and not you ...that is just odd kids need direction and need to know to overcome adversity as long as it is within reason .
The big question is why jump on me or us at all it doesnt matter that the people your kid as you say had problems with jumped on our bandwagon as you say although as an adult it was more than likely you or you and him who had the problems with others ,who runs the show you or your son .
and you said plenty of bad things about us and me ,who said nothing bad about you or anyone else i only made picks and talked well of the kids i know, not bad about the kids or parents i know nothing of as you did ,
POINT number one you are saying your kid is talking trash and getting backlash ,well its not my kids talking trash its me and its hype that is fact i take the heat for them they do as i have always instructed them honor their coaches their family and their sport by being good sportsman and respectful to everyone although high school years are trying EVERY coach they have ever had would acknowledge their good mat behavior and manors.they talk smack as humor they know what its like to win and loose and respect their opponents but are very confident and they laugh at me i talk mass trash i am from the 80s and i come from a sport of egomaniacs where i was very shy and focused as well as dirt poor it grew on me and i had fun with it its part of the intensity and the game and Chad is a great guy trash talk or not hes down to earth and only playing the game thats why his junk sold so much i saw him enter a restraunt and make everyones day he had the servers set down and served them he was great and not many people know how any celeb really is who cares .
.I also met Ali he talked mass trash i loved him as a kid he shook everyone up tried to win before he had to work for it ,awesome great day in my life meeting him and seeing he loved the ordinary person that being me ,
Point number two you had no right even pulling me or my kids into whatever problem you have with any coaches people kids whatever ,we have never met you seen you and dont care to, you have already shown your colors to us i have been trying to help people in this sport always have i am passionate about sports and had i met your boy you would have learned real fast i love kids and i would have helped him i have no problem with spirited kids i was a foster parent for years i can handle them just fine and that cocky attitude of your kids tells me you did not take him to rooms like i did mine where everyone gets their butts handed to them on occasion and smack talkers get hammered fast,As for me i have been told by some of the best in the sport to keep doing things as i do maybe not the smack talk but every thing else so i feel im ok despite your opposition of how i do what i do .
after you who i know absolutely nothing about or have never mentioned in any light bashed me today i called some very good people and they had little to say good about you so you seem to be trying to stir up old harsh feelings against me to get some notice for yourself ,forget it im done with you get your brown nosing and bashing in on someone elses bill your beneath us ,if you want respect for yourself or your kid either one of you need to earn it not hope to shed bad light on someone who really doesnt care what you say about them in order for you or your kid to appear better yourselves but dont be a jerk and try to ruin my kids day or else i will do likewise and im better at it than you ,my kids speak for me and on many occasions i speak for them sometimnes in jest sometimes in anger sometimes in our own attempt to play the game like Ali and chad except i never worry we do our work to back anyything i might say .
good luck against Lawson this year you will need it he is a beast
Mpire,i should have known better to tangle with the AA of the chat board. But one last thing before I throw in the towel. Those people you talked to about me, are probley the same ones that talked about you last season at middle school state.Only one person in NKY knows me very well and he is a common friend of ours.Boy I told him over and over he doesn't pick his friends very well.LOL(and yes Mpire i am including myself).I don't need to get ready for Lawson I haven't wrestled a real match in years. But he s a transfer as you say so i guess my home grown KY boy don't have much of a chance. And yes when ever my son decides he don't want to try or he is not going to listen to his coaches I may walk out and not watch, why should i watch if there is no effort. But as for me not knowing anything outside of Ky about places like Fargo and Super32,I can only tell you what I do know.Last years fargo middle school or cadet champ at 94lbs was Gage Branson who Aj beat at the kings island tournament last year. And Aj did place at super32 a few years back(8th) and he also pinned an Indiana State champ a few years ago.Not much out of State compared to yours but i do know he wrestles way better when other people tell him he is going to lose. The times I am worried is when he tells everybody how bad he is going to win.But thanks for giving him all the more reason to work harder. Now I just hope he shuts up and wrestles.and I will too, You win
I know this is a bit off the thread topic, but.
Mpire. I've heard you say it a few times on this site. You want CC to hold a tourney. My question is why? Trying to start a tourney at your school is very difficult. The firsts few years you will not be able to pull any of the major teams to the tourney. Which means those years you have one tourney that is a dud tourney. Second holding a tourney is difficult for the home team. The wrestlers and the parents have to set up the tourney and tear it down, along with running the tourney. If you expect the middle school team to work the tourney or the JV team then that is one Saturday they will not wrestle.
Believe it or not the Ohio teams just don't want to come across the river and wrestle in Ky tourneys. To me it's much easier to find established tourneys that you can compete in and go from there. As for it being a fund raiser, the returns are not big enough for the time spent setting it up. After paying referee's (which the team fee's usually cover) then the food costs and custodial costs. You really don't make but a couple hundred (Unless it's a huge tourney, which takes years if you are lucky).
Cant disagree with you on that one.
I have disagreed with many people on this site for many years now. And still disagree with them, (team points Ahem). But I can still agree with them on other issues.
The whole point is why did you try to "tangle" with me in the first place ,you had no valid reason to whatsoever ,Im not an adminn doing rankings i do not know all the kids and i have never said or done anything to you or your son and what impact did anything that concerned me or my kids have on you your son was not even in High School last year and mainly you know absolutely nothing about me and neither did those middle school state parents you say were talking about me last year at the time ,Things are a lot different when you meet someone in person you learn about them how they really are and WHY they say and do the things they do ,you and many others passed judgement on me /us without knowing any of the facts and most still do not all you know is what you see in reality and that is my boys show up wrestle respect everyone in the room smile now and then laugh here and there help the younger kids at times and entertain a lot of people with their ability ,in other words they are just regular decent kids who love wrestling and winning ,and they deserved better than they got last year from one of their schools and from many of the people who supposedly admire this sport who like you passed judgement without knowing anything ,
As for my Lawson comment thats just the nasty in me coming out in reply to someone yet again trying to stir up trouble for or against us without any reason whatsoever ,Im not perfest but i think one of your reasons for blasting us out of the blue is the transfer crap
Great wins for your boy ,my sons have won kings island a couple times wrestling in the hs div as 7th graders ,Gage is good i know who he is his parents and a thousand or so other studs didnt know he was a fargo cadet champ and wtf is a fargo middle school champ never heard of such a thing? but i have seen him loose to kids he shouldnt win against kids he maybe shouldnt whats your point no one said anything about your kids abilities ....AND i KNOW he hasnt done much out of state compared to mine all those middle school parents told me ,It would take me a while to list all the stuff they have done who they have beat wrestled and lost against they are legit have been sinse grade school few kids will ever see what they have go where they have compete against who they have ,which makes the grief people like you try to throw their way all the more pathetic ,you know nothing of the level of work and commitment it takes to do what they and we have done
And that pity and fan approval you are looking for by mentioning your boy being a homegrown ky boy doesnt mean squat to me or anyone else from what i have heard most wish you were out of state anyway ,and for your and everyone elses info MY boys are from KY as are their parents not that it matters once you hit the mat.
as for your most pathetic comment so far about walking out because there is no effort
NEWSFLASH: YOU are supposed to LOVE your kid WIN or LOSE wrestling is probably something you have done together worked on together do you walk away and ignore him when he wins i doubt it ,you gloat smile and brag and enjoy the win ,but by your own admission when he has a bad day or isnt up for it you walk away and leave him stranded you make me sick ,when my kids have had their toughest losses and there have been a lot against the best this sport will ever see kids you wouldnt even know because you really dont know anything about this sport Guillibon ,Jordan ,Dance Brill ,Heil ,Martin ,Keener ,some of whom they have beaten before and after others they never beat and may never but I would never walk away and leave them turn my back when they needed me most thats when i always wanted to be there the most thats when its most important for them to know through thick and thin you still care for them and that there is always another day you get better from experience of course i rag them and tell them when i think they mess up its what im supposed to do but sometimes you lose even when you are doing your best your just outmatched and you cant say anything but good job and what you will try next time i doubt you have ever thought of that .
Either way you are right I WIN i always do .
There are many reasons why The sport needs to be more out in the public eye and it deserves to have more tournaments that bring notice to it .Campbell Count is one of the best wrestling schools in the state JR High Champs High School champs ,they should represent the state most well known championship teams in most states have big tournaments it keeps their fans and kids interested and helps keep the team full and kids wanting to be apart of something big . As for running the tourny If Campbell county being one of the biggest public schools in the state cant scrounge up some kids and parents to help put out some mats and do whatever else it takes to run a tourny something is wrong ,and having those teams and fans show up will bring money to the town and school ?i know it just rhetoric By your statements you are saying its simple to just go elsewhere ,but that keeps the notion and false sense of we are not good enough in ky going by saying its easier to go elsewhere you are saying we are to lasy to try and better our situation ,im not blasting you but if it takes a while to grow so be it but i do not agree it could be big right off the bat if promoted correctly ,As for the area people in Campbell county all know about wrestling i talk to them in the gyms the stores everywhere and im not the one bringing it up they know the kids the coaches and that they are good having kids hitthose national tournaments could also be a key shying away from Iron Man and that level tourny is not a good ideal with the kids that are there this group is probably one of the best they have ever had or ever will no bragging at all Fauz Austin Hamilton Stephen Mathews all with national level experience and the rest of the team with a lot of match time and state experience ,maybe i see thing differently than most but who can really argue with the obvious facts . I do not think Campbell Count has any other sports teams or sports that can equal what their Wrestling teams have done or can do so they have earned the right to have a tournament like other schools Why let Ryle have all the notoriety of having the areas biggest tourny .i do not know why its so hard to get some people in KY to understand that they can be just as good or do things anyone else can sooner or later people need to come out of a shell and shatter that way of thinking stepping up and doing things your own way and not being worried about things flopping would be a good first step ,whats the worst that could happen six or seven teams show up fans stay home and the true fans get to watch some wrestling .I know this is a bit off the thread topic, but. Mpire. I've heard you say it a few times on this site. You want CC to hold a tourney. My question is why? Trying to start a tourney at your school is very difficult. Just want to correct myself Branson was 4th at cadet 94lbs
That's a good accomplishment , I hear you know one of the kids I trained a 7th grader Austin Murphy from Reading .
I just must not see it the same way you do. So what if Ryle has a tourney. Doesn't make them better than anyone else. It's just a tournament. Just because schools/teams hold tourneys doesn't mean they have better programs or get more notoriety (sp). Just means they were willing to go through the headache of running a tourney every year.
I know when I wrestled I hated having tourneys and duals at my home school. It was not as fun as going somewhere else and winning on their home turf. Defending your own turf is ok but there was to much time spent before and after the dual/tourney which made the day so much less fun for me.
I know the dozon tourneys I ran as a coach were also headaches. Just not worth the time and effort in my opinion.
I have to disagree , tournys raise money and awareness and help the sport .
When my son was a fresh at Moeller it was their first or second yr for super duals and the coaches and kids loved it I think the CC kids would as well jr high and HS If it interferes with the coaches schedule they shoul have someone else handle details.
It's not about competing or being as good as others it's about what helps your own all you her before state in Nky is Ryle rumble even in oh you hear about it it makes their school known and gets them easier entrance into other tournys and it would be another tourny in Nky why just one it helps regardless ,
When you were a kid did your parents turn out the lights and act like they were not home then send you out trick or treating .... Lol why not have a big tourny you go to them don't you . Awesome recruiting tool as well . Bring in out of state schools with good kids expand your kids level of experience beyond the states borders expand it stay stagnant change evolve become better test yourself and what you can do.
As I read all this bull from WHS98, it really brings up alot of things. First off, I've known Mpire for a few years. For all his faults (we all have em), deep down he's a good guy. Sometimes misguided, a little crazy, and outspoken. But those are the things I love about him lol. We met when my son wrestled Austin way back in maybe 5th grade? Austin pinned my boy in the 2nd, and even though it was my boys first yr Mpire was nothing but nice and complimentery to him. There's just no filter there, good or bad. And for me, that's ok. You always know where you stand with him. I completely understand why he's a little touchy about people saying things about him. And I think he knows I know too. I catch flack from time to time for being freinds with him, but I don't care. And he doesn't either, which is why we get along I think lol. Bottom line, Mpires alright, and Im glad alot of people in Ky realize that now. While we don't always agree, he is a good motivator and trainer. One only has to look at his sons abilitys. In closing, I think a character such as Mpire is good for wrestling, and nobody needs some yah-hoo trying to stir up sh** from long ago. Goo was absolutely right... we can dissagree, argue, type in all capitols to show we really really mean it... but in the end, we're all here for the growth and betterment of wrestling. To enjoy a spirited discussion now and again. And to gather together from time to time and stand with our chests out watching our kids give their all.
Well Mpire since you asked;here is a post I put on here a few years back after AJ beat Austin in Mason,OH..What side of the fence do you stand on this one".
I hope at this tournament the people running it will escort idiot parents that yell the f-word at 11 year old kids all the way to their car,But in case they don't one parent will be with his kid this time to see it don't happen again. If anyone knows Austin Murphys dad please relay the message"
Mr.Murphy wouldn't shake his hand and screamed at him he was F-ing stalling. Is that OK by you? Not me. They took Murphy to the door and he snuck back in and kept looking at AJ,he called to tell me he was scared. You going to defend that?Masons coach sent me a PM saying that Mr.Murphy was finished coaching. So it was not a case of he said she said the tournament officals saw it. After the match Austin walked over to AJ and said Hey man I am sorry I hate my Dad. Aj said he was a good kid and they talked after that,so I let it go, and they wrestled 2yrs later, with Austin winning and his dad was just as nice as he could be.Is winning so important to act like what he did after a loss ?You can say what you want about the way I handle matches but my son, and you can ask him anytime you want(after a loss) if he hates me.You see what he says. Some of his best matches were loses. He lost to an Indiana state champ in the finals of the Fern Creek tournament a few years back.He had the kid on his back the kid was winning so he tapped to get off his back and AJ lost 5-4.I had told him if he won I would give him $50 becase he loves money and will give his best to get it.I still gave him the money for the effort.I get mad when he disrespects anyone or don't try his best(by his own admission).Being consistant is his only problem(well wrestling wise) and he wants to wrestle in college I am working 7 days a week for him to go to ST.X and wrestling camps.I told him he can quite wrestling whenever he wants, but I won't keep paying for camps and tournaments if he has already quite. and yes he has been punished as you say the old school way,but they way is not very acceptable now days, and he forgets real quick. So I have taken other routes. So go ahead and turn my post around anyway you and some of your friends want, you and I got all are thoughts about each other out,so we can agree on one thing we don't understand each others way of thinking.Ranger if you read this I hope you know this was not about rankings, and thanks for taking the time to do them.I meant every word I said when you didn't have him ranked that was a very good attitude ajustment for him.I think now he knows he is in for a whole new ball game, something I could not convince him of.He still had himself on a pedastal. Now since your rankings he lifts with a sign on the wall"MIDDLE SCHOOL STUD AND HIGH DUD'.Now he just needs to figure out where he wants to be on that sign.
Stalling ,THANKS ,you are the best of friends and we are lucky we have great kids "sometimes"LOLi am glad your still your own person amongst those who cave in to the cliques and become part of it never be one of those guys who holds his tounge not to make waves when things are obviously npt fair or wrong.sorry you catch heat hopefully Austin and JRs work together make it all worth it besides its fun being a rebel LMAO
WHS98, WHY you cant take a hint and shut up at least when it concerns me or us i do not know as i said i do not know you i did not mention you or your kid and you had no reason to talk to mention me then or now but i have argued with haters and idiots for years so all i can say is i will try to entertain those listening in and have some fun . First off i did not say anything about Mr Murphy i said i hear you know a kid i trained a 7th grader Austin Murphy from Reading , Now judging from your post your starting to get the picture your boy beat him a few years back then After i trained him he beat your kid ,LOL get the picture . Now as for you trying to blast on or use his dad as a way to make me look bad for mentioning him ,His dad is a friend of mine and he is one of those DADS as are a lot of us he just goes to the extreme and then some ,now to let you know what kind of person i am me and him have came inches from killing each other over kids we both took our kids to MMA classes with all the best wrestlers in the city who were recruited to fight in the OHIO NAGA , He went berserk and everyone sat around watching him i could see he was loosing control and i grabbed him and said chill out your freaking out and he went berserk on me and it was on we both almost got arrested ,you see unlike most people i have always told coaches and people that if i ever get too mad say something oddly enough only one coach has ever said anything to me coach Cagniglia at Loveland and i always respected him for it and he was a great coach as well one of the best . Now everyone ellse on this site who knows me and knows who i know know that i am the firstto say Murphy is off the hook and he doesnt care as for the f bombs i have told him countless times to chill "its just him hes wrong at times in my opinion but what can you do but laugh about it ,, His kid is another story just because his dad gets carried away desnt mean everyone should diss his kid his kid trains hard has it hard at times and regardless of what you say about his dad he isnt a drunken whoremonger who ignores his kid or something there are worse things in life than a crasy wrestling dad .and i have made that point on some of my other posts recently ,its the kids thatare important,my beef with many people is that when you attack me you are actually saying things that may hurt my kids and most people talking smack are simply trying to do that slow their roll ,if my kids have to set out because some a hole on a site gets public opinion stirred up then i have a big problem if refs and people treat my kids differently because of anything other than what they do then i have a problem and right now i have a problem with you because you are starting crap with me for no reason trying to sway public opinion for no reason being a D head for no reason and you dont want a problem with me its not that i am a scary tough big guy as you seem to try to use in your examples to show your bravery LOL ,far from it i am an old handicapped man ,but i have played these board games and been through more than most probably ANYONE else ever and i always come out ok because when its all said and done I love my kids i am passionate about the sport and other sports and i am a genuine person who makes mistakes and can admitt it but dont mess with my kids because they and we go the extra mile i dont just set back and talk trash i know what i am doing i train my kids to be good athletes and wrestlers and i raise them to be respectful good kids and apparently unlike you i am good at it . The unique thing about you is your just a random idiot picking a fight with me to get yourself or your kid noticed or make what you do seem ok or something weird about your beef with coaches who you say talk about my kids or whatever idiocy you are talking about ,you have never had contact with me or my kids and your own is not effected by me or mine or anything that has to do with them ,you simply said thsi guy runs his mouth a lot used to argue a bunch so i will try and bash him to get some notice or some shine LOL you even bashed Wildman Murphy trying to make me look bad when everyone who knows me knows i only try to control him a little to keep him out of trouble and help his kid ,F bombs i know its bad but that guy cracks me up and everyone who is honest who knows him would admitt its hillarious at times we went to SK a long time ago and he started dropping f bombs and i was like chill out man your freaking out and he started dropping more What can you do . Kind of like you ,what can i do but laugh at you ,your not as smart as Murphy ,not smart enough to know when to shut up finally , not smart enough to say hey rather than argue with someone for no reason who would have helped me and my kid if the opportunity ever arose why dont i just pick his brain and do whats best for my kid listen learn and go from there ,no you have to continue to harass and talk smack about someone you dont know anything about ,keep it up and you may have a real reason not to like me, i enjoy training kids its the only thing im good at in this world creating monsters training and training others its all i have ever done and i do it better than anyone else you will ever meet do your research a little deeper than message board heresay check me out im an insane obsessed training winning freak and i hate to lose ,so much so that it left me beatup and broken i went down in battle with over a quarter ton of steel or so at my feet and my kids despite their teenage drama and egos know i am legit and thats why we do what we do ,i cant help it that Lawsons moved to KY and your scared of em beating your kid and cant blast them so you blast me because we already took heat ,I hear Murphy may be moving to KY as well i think he won grade school state here once already HAHAHAHAH thats another can of worms ,Let it go don't mention my name or my kids names dont ever talk to them or me dont come around dont call dont write just go back to lilliput or i wll train an army of lightweight monsters so fierce you will not just leave your kid stranded somewhere for loosing you will disown him ,and yes i can train some totally studly lightweights my son was one of the highest ranked 112 lb fresh man in the nation his fresh yr ,which makes me think of something i can train anyone any weight my other son was THE highest ranked 195 then 220 lb freshman in the nation ,HAHAHHAHAHAH yes i can brag as well .
think about it
Now that I am brought into an arguement in a state that my kid doesn't even wrestle...Mr. Bidner, I can't control who throws my sons name out there but I will say this....you are completely wrong on what happenned at Lakota East (not Mason) unlike others I can back my shit up with evidence. The match started with Austin (just turned 7) and your son AJ who I believe was 11 at the time...AJ comes out and hits Austin with a head and arm and Austin rolls threw, scrambled and AJ pushed Austin into a table, second period starts and Austin at 7 years old had AJ on the run the entire 2nd and 3rd period and yes I did yell stalling a few times. So this is where you have it wrong...after the match your son walked up to me and I put my hand out to shake his and he slapped it away laughing saying "Thats right I was f-ing stalling". After AJ walked away, one of the Kentucky coaches was laughing and I had a few words with that coach.....at no time did I EVER say anything smart to your kid. Also, I was never taken to the door and I never snuck back in and btw you werent there so you shouldn't be commenting on hear say from an 11 year old because none of that ever happenned. Also, Austin wrestled for Reading and Dickie Engle and Tim Kelley (both Ohio state champs) were in the corner so I don't know why a Mason coach would send you a PM because Austin wrestles for Reading. Lets fast forward to South Oldham...Austin was wrestling for Elder Jr high team as an elementary kid and my kid didn't even have his shoes tied up when your son came over and asked what weight he was going and then preceeded to tell Austin all of his credentials and yes Austin was ready for that match and did beat him I believe 8-0 (don't really remember the score) but I have that one on video too. If you had a problem with me with what I supposedly said to your son, you should have confronted me at South Oldham and you would have found out what really happened at Lakota East that day.
I will give props to Chris Meyer because before he started training Austin, he was nowhere near other nationally ranked kids and after one year of training with Chris, he placed 4th in Tulsa. If Chris was closer, Austin woudl still be training under Chris and picking his brain on the wrestling knowledge that he does have. For all you kids in the state of Kentucky, if you want to wrestle on a national level, I would totally have my kid train with Chris Meyers.
Mr. Bidner, if this conversation needs to go farther, you can get my # from Pin to win. James Murphy
Can I just say....Wow! This has got to be one of the most entertaining threads I have read in a long time. Now, it looks like Rumble Royal number whatever is about to start. Mr. Binder...I can't see you winning that match. You might need to find a good tag team partner.
I don't know but people have a funny way of transitioning between the youth forum and the High School wrestling forum , I thought someone would wait till their kid actually wrestled a High school match before they started barking at the big dogs i mean why pick on a pack of full grown Rotts when you are carrying around a pocket pet that isn't weaned yet particularly when they don't even visit the same hydrants .
Maybe someone has been hittin the bottle again i mean attacking the Khsaa calling them spineless bush whacking the Mpire blasting on poor old Chad and that show boat TO for taking advantage of capitalism all because of some coaches who like wrestling or something who booted his kid off a team for bein a show boat himself or something I don't know I'm still confused this has been a pearl harbor moment for the Mpire maybe worse I didn't even have a clue who this guy was I still don't all I know is a kid who lived down the street from me that I trained a couple years ago on TEAM JAWS beat him and that his dad gets his facts mixed up a lot middle school Fargo champs ? Mason or Lakota ,Meyers or Myers , and I'm still trying to figure out who dropped the Fbomb at Lakota Murphy's dad or little Murphy's opponent Binders son , ordinarily I would say murph but I don't know the good folks in Ky tell me there's a fresh at x that has some language issues who may need some sportsmanship awareness classes not that I mind I hate losing to .
OMG this stuff is F-U-N-N-Y funny. Little dogs, big dogs, visiting hydrants lol classic!I don't know but people have a funny way of transitioning between the youth forum and the High School wrestling forum , I thought someone would wait till their kid actually wrestled a High school match before they started barking at the big dogs i mean why pick on a pack of full grown Rotts when you are carrying around a pocket pet that isn't weaned yet particularly when they don't even visit the same hydrants .

when is ranger going to put up new rankings!? i dont like dog fights
I don't have a dog in the fight and it's pretty comical.
That's because your bark is worse than your bite .
Gotcha lol
Well I was thinking of refereeing this match but now I'm not sure.
Do I need to be a referee, a dog trainer, a fireman, an anger manegement specialist, a football official, or someone manning the big guns to knock out the Kamakazee pilots.
Heck I even saw that JAWS was back in the water, maybe I need a really BIG boat.
It does look like Rideemout needs a barking collor.
my shock collar broke. because of how jacked i've been getting
