Coach,

Check your email.

This will be an awesome tournament surprised no SK but I do not know schedules or history of this tourny ,

Moore has been added to the Rumble this year

Nasty matchup , Austin and Gustapfel sp from Harrison ,he handed it to Moellers 220 who placed high at state in Ohio last yr . Although they will get overlooked in favor of the little guys it should be one of the best matchups of the yr if Austin fits into his somewhat undersized 220 and can manage the range difference.

Bryant,Gutapfel ,Thompson and Austin , I was told trinity was not in it but I see they are .wow this has to be the best tournament in the state .

Should be some good inner state matchups with many state implications!!

6 out of state teams , that's nice . If a couple Pa teams would come it would make it a totally stud packed event .Unbelievably tough state as far as wrestling goes from youth up , I remember seeing studs

From all over the country at their youth Young gun and North Hills tournaments and some of the beslipids in the country run into walls against kids you never hear about from Pa ,anyone wanting to test their you g kids need only visit one of these tournys all the Pa Mich and Oh top kids are there and there are always shockers as far as results . Pa All

American , Renegades , and Quest along with the rest are incredibly talented teams if the Bearcat Brawl could get one of these youth teams entered it would be awesome .

Less than four weeks away !!!!!!

Coming up fast .isnt this one of the premiere tournaments in Kentucky

Look like a hell of a tournament. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top. Between the Meyer kids and Woodfords new big 3, should be fun.

Typo- Myers. Sorry.

Austin can lateral drop both Lawson's back to Urbana and Boston all the way to Indianapolis at the same time ,:) then throw Stephen back over to Reading without taking a second Breath .

ATM , just got home from the gym his battle with a monster this weekend opened his eyes a bit .

The Rumble on paper looks to be tougher than the State tourny and the toughest tourny in the state easily , Virginia state champs couple

From

Indiana an a few from Ohio I know Harrison has some studs an a great program an Glen Este has a great coach and is competitive , I have heard of Kenton ridge and some studs from there over the years but I do not know about them presently ,

Union is down a stud or two at this one I think and hopefully Trinity comes in force 220 should be a good class if Bryant Austin Thompson and the rest show up , CC has a dual a couple days before but they need not let it go to their heads i doubt any of the teams they face even have Full squads ,hopefully everyone gets a match anyway . It will be interesting to see where everyone is going or heading ,

What will be the toughest class good luck to all the Ky kids step up and represent , awesome of Ryle having this event I have never been to it but read about it and I am looking forward to it .

Mpire

bryant will still be playing football.

I thought state championships were this past weekend?

Probably all star events

ranger is correct, he has an alstar game

Well good luck to him , I had heard they might hold their ball players back from

Wrestling , not really a bad idea anyway that's pretty quick to jump on the Matt , even CC players haven't been able to get mat ready yet Mathews just shook off a minor injury and the rest have only been back a couple / few weeks , Thompson should be there but I don't know what the cheer leading schedule over at Connor is like . Bwahahahahahahhahahahahahahah , just kidding I like him a lot he play soccer a good way to stay in shape and. Not get broken up .. I just couldn't see my boys doing anything else duiring football , Connor has a good football team they probably missed him , but the cheerleaders .... I mean soccer team probably liked having a big hoss on the team when those headbutts start flyin and if I was a little soccer player I would be right behind him .I hope he goes 195 though .

will union's stars be at the rumble? i seen union had 3 entries in the ironman, and i think that is this weekend.

Yes.

Just got the news that Scott will be attending the rumble! Interesting match ups for some of the Scott boys. Curious to see how they do!!

Yes.

Well that will be a good one unless they plan on 2 n out at Iron Man or I have my days mixed up!!!!!

I thought state championships were this past weekend?

Well if that's true I'm really mad because I thought they were in February and CC came in second this past weekend even though they had more than half the team they brought in the finals dang it ., oh well you can't win em all congrats to all our state champs , and runners up and placers , next yr they should wait till football is over to start wrestling . ...... Knowwhatimean !!!!!!!!

Congrats to Trinity for winning and representing the state so well , you have to call it as you see it and they get it done , nothing to do with private public debate it's all understandable , But Trinity played everyone and everywhere and did well . Other private schools as well .

Trae, Brock, and Jayce are at IronMan... Wurth and Carter are taking the ACT.

Good luck to them , hope they land high on the podium , and enjoy the tournament of a lifetime .

Look like a hell of a tournament. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top. Between the Meyer kids and Woodfords new big 3, should be fun.

Typo- Myers. Sorry.

I think you actually tried to push a button kind of funny at the time I thought nothing of it.

Anyone have the pools handy?

I think you actually tried to push a button kind of funny at the time I thought nothing of it.

Because he accidentally misspelled your last name?

No because he's just starting crap .are you ?unless you want to lead this thread down the shitpath of the others some have done lately you should probably digress from humor or anything else at my expense. I am th first to give everyone their props did it always and forever for Boston because I know him and his father ,good people " don't know the Lawson's but I have sen em

Around they trained where my boys trained a lot ,

Jordan's . If some dumb redneck is fishing for an argument about my boys and Boston and Lawsons Its rather stupid I hope they all become 4 x NCAA champs which is the goal of real wrestlers they will neve wrestle each other none of them ever if it's a ploy for attention whatever don't matter either the rumble is this weekend no one has lasted a match with Stephen he has beaten a highly ranked Ohio 160 by more than a major after only wrestling a few weeks but still has more matches in than he did before state last yr after his couple

Month layoff and a season of Football getting his V letter gettin a couple scores double legging some backs an slamin some big boys for gettin stupid gettin some on side kick recoverys , not many in the nation his level in wrestling at his sise would dare play football and risk loosing an edge or scaring some recruiters , now we're coming to Ryle this weekend any one has anything to say feel free I'm always the gentleman , not going to jump to speculations but for whoever is talking smack Stephen is still waiting to see who will be the first to last a match or to get a score

The mods have stated they are tired of all the Bs so what's the problem .as for this tournament no one has pumped it up as much as me on here and not stirring the pot as I did why start .

Unless your just looking for hits or a dumb feeling after the tournament is over .

Mpire, as for the post where I misspelled your last name, it was an honest mistake. As far as the thread that we got shut down, it got out of control. I only originally had the intent of having a little fun with the dream KY match up this year between Kevin and Stephen. It was only after I felt disrespected that I started the pot stirring. I want to offer a true apology for saying some of the things I said. It's something that shouldn't have happend. Let's just get past it. I've got nothing but respect for your kids. They obviously have a great work ethic. I wish them the best. Good luck at the Rumble this weekend, sounds like a stacked tournament.

Perhaps the immaturity of the fans is why Kentucky’s wrestling has trouble growing as a sport. One thing to have disagreements among each other but to take it to a public forum is simply childish. I thought adults were supposed to be role models for wrestlers… Nothing but garbage on this website now!

Words of wisdom from that BLUE state up north...The land of Jerry Springer...

gametime123....You don't need to come on this site if you don't want to....we do the best we can down here in this RED state.....Buddy this is entertainment and I am sure if all the adults were at a tournament we would all be getting along fine.....We have a passion for High School wrestling as you do I am sure....

Any thoughts anybody on some RUMBLE possible matchups ?????

Let's get ready to RUMBLE !!!!!! "GO TIME BABY"

The majority of the fans of wrestling in KY are well behaved and respectable as well as passionate. Any and every group of people no matter the situation will contain variations but for you to try and stain the sport within our great state because of your personal opinion about a handful of people on a public forum is just as wrong as much as any post that you may not tend to agree with. KY wrestling is growing, and I believe will continue to grow, some of the real problems I think are- finances- KY's per-capita personal income was US$28,513, 43rd in the nation. Population of the state and the lengths that some of the more rural areas have to go to to fill a schedule/roster. The 15 most populated states in order are California, Texas, New York, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina, New Jersey, Virginia, Washington, Massachusetts, and Indiana, and account for roughly 65% of the total population of the U.S. KY ranked 26th and only accounts for 1.39 % of the total. I personally see parents of children and ask them what activities they are involved in and inquire as to whether or not they ever thought about wrestling or even knew that it existed at the youth and middle school level because suprisingly enough most are unaware, thinking it is only something done in high school. So we must learn to work as a community and spread the word of the sport rather than worry about the rantings of a few. Just my opinion. OUT

Not trying to argue but Wth are you talking about Ky as a state did well last yr and has more nationally ranked wrestlers than ever before ,from

Reading other posts you are not even from ky , that's funny, surprised someone spent the time to throw out Facts or make excuses to answer a comment that isn't even true

Will the teams and rosters be posted anywhere today I heard they were ????cant talk matchups untill weights are known ,

Any updates, exciting match ups, etc.?

Congrats to St. X and especially the Lampe Brothers great tournament!

Just looked at the results, WOW! What a tournament! Congrats to St. X. Not sure if more impressed with Stephen's tech in the finals or Lampe's pin over Jones in the finals. Either way, outstanding job guys. Congrats to all who competed!

. I agree dude. 20 years from now we will be talking about a 5 time ky state champ... The growth of ky wrestling .... And the 1 man the made this forum not much fun to log onto anymore. ... SMH ... Dang shame , I used to look forward to typing this web address in my google bar.

Never can get these OW things straight a kid Definatly puts on a show of skill knowledge ability and talent winning big and keeping anyone from scoring ,hitting nice and sometimes over the top "literally "and no you won't see anyone do that and he did it twice this week "moves showing balance speed power and will stopping a shot that would have been two on most and then some , and a finals Clinic no one would have expected against a state ranked wrestler , but still how do you tell a kid who pins through he didn't win the ow ???????easy you don't you tell him to showboat next time take em down let em up head and arm torture em some more give the masses what they want Spartacus and they will love you and you will be Free .

Great tournament , glad the Ohio and Ind kids realise that your not allowed to poke people on the face and eyes , seems its legal at least against two kids , but that's ok they can wrestle dirty too ,

What happened to Hamilton he was wrestling a pretty good match against a wrestler that looked like he might beat him fair and square , and extended his leg on a shot and when the ref blew the whistle , he threw in a little extra , can't be a fan of that kind of wrestling or the dirty eye jabbers , Take it however you like it i call it as I see it if your good and those doing the dirty crap are why do it other than to try and get an unfair edge , Nasty stuff I guess if you can't beat a kid blind em , thats not to effective either though .

So what was the score and peroid of lampe and Hamilton before Hamilton had to ID.

I am not sure what empire is saying but if he is saying Justin Lampe hurt Paul Hamilton on purpose he is 100% wrong.Justin wrestled very aggressively and was trying to use a single leg finish his brother John recently taught him when Paul got hurt the first time I did not see what happened the second time but Justin would not intentionally injure someone.Hope your leg heals soon Paul . Jeff Lampe

X looked very good , winning by 2 in this somewhat awkward and strange pool

Format ,

Some kids were Definatly to close to others in the bracketing system , meaning some Of the better matches came before finals ,

CC looked good but needs to improve but taking home a second place trophy down by two points and taking home both OW awards is kind of crasy , have to say the most dominant wrestler didn't get the ow and he was a camel too ,Rule led most of the day but I did not see many in the finals , the rankings will certainly change after this weekend ,

220 I know ATM and TT had to wrestle four out of stayers in their pools two each leaving only one o. The other side , just sea

Like they would even out of state guys up if possible I know the criteria and all but that's how it should be , in the finals no one knew the time or score ???? Need boards for people to see , just a suggestion , and after watching video I'm sure there will be some scoring snafus from the tables . Not complaining I liked it extremely and everyone should applaud Ryles efforts .

2 OW s in as many weeks , a great sr season for a kid ,god is good , hope the boy taken out on the stretcher earlier today is ok

The Shaw kid from Indy is a class act , I think he got shell shocked a bit but he still took time to smile at his opponents little brother , that's classy and a good kid .

GREAT JOB St. X,Very nice TEAM effort.I believed in you guys from get go, and I have a friend who might be getting a little nervous about a side wager we made, but he is a friend and I will let him out of it if he wants.LOL Great Job Lampe brothers, you 2 keep setting the bar so high, poor ol AJ is going to have trouble reaching it.But hey he is already taller than me so I can't say much. They say Rome wasn't built in a day but even if it was it wouldn't be as hard as building a team with all nails and no hammers  .One last congrates to Keegan Duncan who put up a great match to a Nat. ranked kid and with Keegan being just a freshman thats awesome but you should have went to X. LOL

Track wrestling includes video too, championship matches on Mat 1

Miller from Scott got screwed on the seeding for this tournament. Top ten ranked wrestler getting placed in the pool with #1 ranked kid BJ Carman... Unfortunately for him and his team his one loss to Carman forced him to only be able to place seventh in the tournament. I am sure he would have place a lot higher if given the proper seed!

I was just thinking, that this years team state champion may just come down to bracketing.......gonna be a close race this year I suspect. The kids at Ironman will be some game changers along with others who were'nt there. GO TIGERS.....would be nice to see a few new plaques on the wall in the wrestling room.

I seem to be having trouble with the link you provided, Mike. Would someone mind either posting the link again or providing full results via this thread? Thanks all.

www.trackwrestling.com

Search for "Ryle Raider Rumble" on the main page that opens.

Click on "Special Coverage" and choose videos (all kinds of things are here too, like brackets, team scores, et.)

Click Mat #1

Then when mat 1 loads, it is starting at the beginning of the tournament. You need to move video forward about 9 hours or so to get to the finals matches.

Hope that helps. I had all five mats loaded up all day yesterday and watched tons of matches plus finals.

Team Scores 1. Saint Xavier 221.5 2. Campbell County 219.5 3. Ryle 207.5 4. Woodford County 152.0 5. Harrison 151.0 6. Union County 146.5 7. Columbus East 146.0 8. Glen Este 139.5 9. Lafayette 131.0 10. Moore 111.5 11. Trinity 105.5 12. Larue County 98.0 13. Walton Verona 93.5 14. Kenton Ridge 81.0 15. South Dearborn 71.5 16. Meade County 70.0 17. Conner 67.0 18. Scott 43.5 19. South Oldham 33.0

Moore had 4 kids who were out and did not wrestle.

Campbell County looked good and on pace for a nice state run the team as a whole wrestled well the football players are still improving and getting in wrestling shape and it seems everyone is trying hard now .This was a great tournament were 1st and second was separated by less than 2 points , 19 teams are a lot different than 50 or 60 with a couple top teams missing and the rest o the teams with scattered studs on them it changes the outcome tremendously , in bigger tournaments bigger guns score more points , CC went home with all the OW s an a kid who pinned through and a whole lot more carrying hardware .

I call it as I see it once again someone put on a performance unlike anyone there has ever seen teching a top eight ranked wrestler from Indiana ,

No one in the state can do what he can , jockey for the ow at state talk smack about whoever , everyone already knows and I would love to see Stephen wrestle Lampe as well as the kid from x who couldn't finish the takedown even when he had his leg and yes anyone else , no one in KYcan beat him at 160 170 152 or 145 , he does things on the mat no one else in KY would even try and succeeds . No fancy room no team of recruited rich kids and no amount scoping and talking crap to his teammates parents can Change

that he will improve more as the yr goes on more so than most , and people usually at least score on you before they start bragging about beating you next time

Watch the matches my kids don't have to poke eyes or put in a little extra after the whistle blows , not me talkin crap or cry babying because it's the truth , don't care who likes it saw all that dirty stuff last yr it's trash in any other state you lose points after a warning here it's like the refs don't recognise it ,

Sorry To say I saw it from Connor as well that 1st grade eye poking face jabbing stuff should be done with by jr high . State duals will be fun state should be a lot funner .

Seeding was straight criteria and placement in the pools beyond that it done automatically and at random by trackwrestling. It is not feasible to have a seed meeting prior, everyone would be there until midnight. Placement criteria determines your seeding, The only exception to Criteria is a head to head victory over someone seed above you. All this information is on the trackwrestling website,

Seeding Criteria

1- Placement in State Tournament

2- Placement in Ohio District or Indiana Semi State Tournament

3- Placement in Previous Raider Rumble

4- Placement in Kentucky Regional, Ohio Sectional or Indiana Regional Tournament

5- Placement in Middle School State Tournament

1 seed BJ Carmen (Larue)- Placed 3rd in the State of KY in 2012, 1st in the Rumble last year and 1st in the Region

2 seed- Noah Bauer (St X)- Placed 5th in the 2011 Rumble and 1st in the Region last year

3 seed- Matt Kennedy (Glen Este, OH)- Placed 7th in the 2011 Rumble and 5th in the Ohio D1 Sectional

4 Seed- Sean Root (Harrison, OH) Placed 7th in the 2011 Rumble

5 Seed- Eli Matthews (Campbell Co) Placed 2nd in 2012 Regional

6 seed- Jacob Warwick (Conner) Placed 4th in 2012 Regional

Alt- Elijiah Miller (Scott) Placed 5th in 2012 Regional

The other big tournament in Kentucky (The Dragon) has a format that if you lose in the 1st round that the best you can place is 7th.

Coach Graven and I are friends and I am sure that he knows that I would not screw one of his kids over.

Thanks guys. I found the link. Looks like I missed a helluva day.

Bauer placed 2nd in region last season.

Not saying the seeding wasn't fair... Just that he could not have been given a worse seed. I know nobody is intentionally being screwed over. The cream will rise to the top.. always does.

What happened to Hamilton?

What happened to Hamilton?

What happened to hamilton

Be more distinct in your rhetorical question ,

Looked as if he was wrestling a good match against a tough opponent and got hurt on a potentially dangerous shot where his leg was hyperextended and a ref was a little late in breaking along with a wrestler . He continued a while longer and was shot again and then intelligently Id out , what's your point and why the multiple ? is that kind of stuff humorous to you , kids getting injured , certainly Hamilton has lost before by worse and to much better . No reason to thump your chest about a win and a kid getting hurt !! What happened he got a ring last yr , whats happening he's figuring out wich finger gets the next one .But we all know which one you get .

Givemethatdouble-the matches are still on trackwrestling if you want to watch.

That will be one incredible day of wrestling.
