Wounded Warrior Fund Raiser

Topic ID: 8862 | 7 Posts

My name is Randy Pitcher, a 24 year Army Veteran (retired) asking your support for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) fund raiser.

The Pitcher family has been involved in Kentucky and Hardin County Wrestling the past 12 years. Our oldest son (Army, Infantry, Ranger) this past April lost his left leg at the knee from an IED. One of the biggest supporters for Josh’s life recovery has come through the Wounded Warrior Project.

The Mission of WWP, to honor and empower wounded warriors.

The Purpose of WWP

To raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members.

To help injured service members aid and assist each other.

To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.

Your generous donation to WWP helps thousands of Wounded Warriors and their families – as they return home from the current conflict.

We ask each tournament Director to place donation containers at each event (admission tables, concession stands or both).

Additional information about WWP can be found at http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org

All donations “100%” will be donated to Wounded Warrior Project on behalf of Kentucky Wrestling in honor of all our Kentucky service members.

If you are interested in supporting the fund raiser please PM me or [email protected]

Thank you for your consideration.......

North Hardin Middle School will be hosting their Trojan Invitational on Nov. 17. Our team will pledge $20.00 from each team entered to the "Wounded Warrior Project". I think we could have hopefully 15 teams. We will also have a donation bucket at our entrance and concession stand for anyone who wants to support this project. I, Joe Burroughs No-Ox /North Hardin Coach would like to challenge my Kentucky Wrestling friends to match my personal donation of $100. I will personally give Jory Whorton and Randy Pitcher the donation at their Veterans Memorial Tournament.

I would like to thank Coach Ruff and Lindsey Wilson College for supporting the Wounded Warrior Program. Coach Ruff and Staff have two events one:

1) Lindsey Wilson will be wearing Camoflauge Singlets on the evening of February 1st, and auctioning off a shadowbox frame containing the singlet (2 of them).

2) Lindsey Wilson Colege Waffle $10,000 cash giveaway....

Date of Drawing is Nov 28, 2012, to purchase Tickets email: [email protected]

Only 200 tickets will be sold.

I would like to thank: Walton Verona, Campbell County and Fern Creek for pledging to support Wounded Warrior Project this season…

Thank you.... :D

I would like to give a BIG shout out to "North Hardin Middle/NO-OX Wrestling" for starting the WWP fund raiser with a big number $590.00.

Coach Joe B and staff made a great contribution to the Ft. Knox WWP "adapting sports" program..

Thank you to all.....

Today, I had the pleasure of presenting $970.00 to the Ft. Knox Wounded Warrior Program Coordinator on behalf of Kentucky Middle School Wrestling. These funds will be used for Adaptive Sports Programs…

North Hardin Middle/NO-OX Wrestling $590.00

John Hardin Middle Wrestling $380.00

Still looking for other programs to participate, hope it doesn’t stop here…..

Who will be the next program to make a contribution?????

The Raider Rumble raised 32.00 that I still owe. Thanks to them for their assistance. Every dollar helps the cause and once I pass this over - Kentucky Wrestling has raised over 1,000.00. That was the first month - looking for a big weekend this weekend at Summit View, if willing and at Fern Creek.

Any others interested in helping.
