Just looking at TheMat.com it appears that team KY has no representatives.
The team that we had picked to go could not afford the fees. The only two able to attend are below.
Coach Frank Gercak was unable to attend
Coach Wolsiefer is coaching the KY team.
John Wolsiefer Cadet 160 FS/GR
Ryan Houchens Cadet 189 FS/GR
:-( sad for the state of kentucky.

Both kids wrestled well losing only to some of the best wrestlers in their weights.
John lost to Yant, OH and Pavo, HA both placing for All-American status.
Ryan lost to Geiger, OR eventual winner, National Champion at 189lbs.
John and Ryan are tough kids, they have wrestled well, representing the state well!
Wish we had more kids here, but we are having a great time.
Getting ready for Freestyle which starts Wed.
Wish em luck!

Glad to hear the good results. I'm sure these guys are representing the state well. I have to disagree with DrCradle. It's not sad for the state that more kids couldn't afford to make the trip. It is sad for the kids. Wrestling in KY will continue if we send 20 kids or none, but there are only so many opportunities for the kids to showcase their talents on a national level.

The format of how these events are scored put an entirely different light on wrestling between: Folkstyle, Freestlye and Greco.
Look Murton last year at Frago, if its folkstye I heard he probably would have won the event.
Freestyle is a animal we don't get much exposure to. Plus the scoring 2 out of 3 period or 6 point different. You better have your A-Plus game at the National level
