200 wins

Topic ID: 8964 | 21 Posts

Just wondering if anyone knows how many kids have had over 200 high school wins? What is the win record for our state, top 10 in wins and so on? Anyone (GOO - Ranger) care to take a stab at this?

I heard that Kevin Cooper was only 1 win away from hitting 200. This true?

If true, he will finish some where around 260 wins or so. Where will that put him on the list as far as most wins? top ten? Top five?

Not sure of the state list, but KY has 2 tied for second nationally. This is cut and pasted from Wrestling USA Magazine. 324 is impressive except for the fact that it took 7 seasons. More impressive is the kid in 4th with 284 in 4 seasons.

Wow, just noticed the kid in 6th had 276 in 3 seasons. Now that's impressive, 92 wins a year.

I think that is actually 4 seasons 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. The other wouldve been 5 seasons at 284 wins 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. Either way extremely impressive.

It is four seasons. But it's still pretty damn impressive.

It doesn't matter either way is impressive, but wouldn't 2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11 be 4 years? In which case they would have listed it as 2007-2011.

Mark Jones NH 2008 record 231-32 Does not include 7-8 grade varsity wins.

Wade Willen has 208.

Josh Ashbrook and Beau Sanders, both 2008 graduates from Harrison County, have over 200 wins.

Jason Walls, coach at Caldwell County has over 200. What's Brock Ervin's record now??

I dont know the exact record but Brandon Barnett a graduate from Harrison County 2 or 3 years ago has over 200 wins along with a state title his junior year!

I guess what I am looking for here is if anyone knows what the top 10 looks like. Travis Sullivan and Josh Johnson apparently are tied with 304 but what does the rest of the top 10 look like? Anyone know?

Both those include MS, Are we talking 7-12 or 9-12?

Just total high school wins. 7th and 8th grade wins count toward Travis Sullivan and Josh Johnsons win totals I would think. No way to wrestle that many matches in just 4 years of KHSAA high school compitition. I am wondering KD Smith total wins, so yes 7 - 12. I am thinking that 250 total wins may not even crack the top 10

So True!

I know for a long time both Joe Carr Jr and Ian Horn were top 10 nationally. I don't think either had 250 wins.

What about Harrison Courtney? He has to be over 200

Harrison had 249 wins

If I am not mistaken, Ashbrook was knocking on the door of 300 wins.
