The North Oldham Elementary and JV Middle School Holiday Classic is Friday December 28th and open to wrestlers K-8th grade who are not middle school varsity starters. All first year wrestlers can participate, even if they are varsity starters. Also, if a wrestler is a varsity starter only because there is no one else at that weight and has struggled, he is allowed to participate as well. We are open to all kids who are struggling at the varsity level to compete at this tournament, coaches please use good judgement.
It's a great way to give your kids some quality mat time in a fun tournament to get them excited about the sport of wrestling and keep them involved. We will do the spotlight and face-off for finalists just like last year so the kids love it.
We had 450 kids compete last year, and expect well over 500 this year. I already have many teams confirmed from all over Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio so you will get to see some very different competition. Many teams are using this tournament as extra mat time that does not interfere with their local tournaments on that weekend.
All rosters are due by next Friday December 21st. You must use the excel form provided.
