Toughest region and team ?
Im biased but I still think region 6 is the toughest with Campbell, SK and Ryle and Walton
Bias or not , they out scored the other regions at state last yr , dont see anything changing this yr .
I see 5 clear favorites for titles from 6 possibly more depending on who moves where and what breaks they get , Ryle has a shot at 1 or more Sk has a shot at 3 or more CC has a shot at 3 or more , grant has a shot at 1 Walton has a shot at a couple ,Connor has a shot at 1 , everyone has a shot at it kids get hot at the right time and things change , but I see five I would wager on .
X looks to be vey tough , have not seen trinity ,
yet ,Union will be hard to beat and Woodford has some studs who will change the mix of things .
Reg 6 will
Represent Nky very well and there are no private schools in it yet hogging up everyone CC with a full lineup and people where they are headed will rack up huge points at state , 4 all Americans and two champs another finalist and a top placer returning with ten qualifiers should push everyone
You can't count out Trinity, Ryle or even Larue County. However, assuming everyone is healthy, the state tournament should be a two horse race between Union County and Campbell County. Union will clean up in the lower weights but will have to try hold on for dear life as Campbell County comes roaring back in the heavier classes. Should be very interesting.
Sounds about right except I saw x and they are good They do not have the heavy hitters of Union Blackwell Ervin Carr ditto for CC but they seemed solid and had some who were just a few levels behind but all around solid , but at state solid gets blown away by firepower usually .
I saw exactly what you are trying to say Rumbler at the CC Ryle Dual , Ryle came out with a 20 point lead only to see momentum change and never stop all the way to the heavy match ,
That momentum swing is a killer CC takes over in the middle weights and keeps rolling and no names mentioned but they have the top scorer from state last yr right about the middle of the lineup followed by two more All Americans ,
It should be good but I wouldn't count out CC lightweights either some are dropping and all have some talent and are improving , I see the top four teams being Union Sk , CC and X , Ryle is still to young and I do not know enough about Trinity other than Bryant , Woodford may surprise they have studs and yes the coach of coaches ,lol he impressed me at the Rumble .
I know KY I one div and its a neat thing only 1 real champ , still with so many good kids it would be nice to see the love spread around in two div maybe not three like in other states , but it would take away from what Makes Ky wrestling what it is .
