Rusty Parks was named Coach of the Year after leading the Woodford County High School in Versailles, KY to the 2006 Kentucky State team championship. Parks' team had five individual state champions helping to score 230 team points. During the year the team won the Woodford County Invitational, Bourbon Bash, Region VII Duals, Wayne County Duals, Woodford Duals and the Regional Tournament. Parks, who recently announced he was retiring, leaves behind a tremendous legacy guiding the Yellowjackets to eight state titles and a top-three finish in each of the past 17 state tournaments. Woodford County had 38 state champions during Parks' tenure. Parks won 582 dual matches -- which ranks among the top 15 in the nation -- and 107 tournaments, which is No. 4 nationally.
