Who will be the top five teams at state and why ,

It's hard for me to put a finger on Union seeing them only once without their best wrestlers , Campbell County looks good but a few are still up and down and some are still dropping ,

Ryle has some very good lightweights and good wrestlers at other weights but i cant say for sure where I would rank them at all.

Simon Kenton will Definatly score a lot of points and be a top five possibly but I do not think they are top three and with my lack of knowledge that means they could be champs or out of the top five but I would guess third or fourth ,

Trinity I have not seen at full force so its a guess but they have some

Big scorers just not sure they have enough to be top three or Five ,

X impressed me tremendously and they should make top five easily and challenge for first but in a massive tourny setting some of their upper tier but not superstar kids will fall behind where Union and CCs guns will last to the finish or later rounds

1st Campbell County , just as many Top wrestlers as any team in the state and probably more , good lightweights very solid middles and good heavies with a core group who seem tight knit with a variety of intense hard training kids and others who are very talented somewhat hard training but very talented .

2nd Union I would probably give Union an edge over X for more top wrestlers but X impressed me with their conditioning and hard nosed wrestling ,

2nd X a solid group with some standouts and soon to be superstars but no kids that can equal the top dogs on Union CC or one o two on Sks team .

4th Simon Kenton could make a move towards the top with ease they have some big scorers with some who could make a jump up the ladder with some slight improvement , they have a shot at a few or more titles but were not as close as expected to CC at conference , possibly due to an upset or two but even taking in a few factors they were still a bit behind .

5th I couldnt begin to guess Trinity has some firepower and numbers

Campbell County impressed against Ryle and at NKAC making them clearly the num 1 team in reg 6 , and X with their less than 2 point win over CC makes them instant threats for state champs , Union missing three of the states best could not manage a serious threat against some of the schools at the Rumble ,I know that wasn't or isn't the only tourny just the most recent and available one for me or anyone else to use for comparisons

. Larue has studs but I do not know them enough to guess same for Woodford they have some big scorers but I do not see them top three or five. It they will impress , perhaps Ryle takes this spot .

In no order

CC.... They have a lot of tough kids with both of the myers, paul, woods, fausz( hope i spelled that right)

Only have seen them once. So can not say to much.

X.... X will make a good run this year they have all the tools to do so. Pledger, French and the Lampe brothers will rack up enough points this year at state along with binder and the other guys in the line up to keep them moving and finish high. A loss to moore at the big brother duals seems to have ignited a fire because ever since then they have seemed to be more focused and determined. .

SK..... A few guys that could take them far and get the points needed to finish high at state.

Moore..... A team that has faced injury early this season with 2 top 5 ranked kids out but returning soon from what I am told by moore and a 132 that looks to be solid this year out right now also. A win over x with both teams having kids out during that dual, and finishing 2nd behind trinity with out 3 varsity kids. This is a team to look for at state.

Trinity...... Always seem to have a good line up that could take them far. A good thing about trinity is you know the coaches take care of all wrestlers in the program, I say this because this weekend I seen a few names in the line up that you never heard of and have been waiting on the jv line up and then BAM they are getting techs and pins left and right. If not top 5 it has to be 6th or 7th. But if they are missing Kahl like they did this weekend they could miss out on some key points at state that will hurt them.

Can't say to much about CC or SK just going off of what I have heard about them on here and from old wrestling friends. I have seen Trinity, Moore and X a few times this year and they all look solid.

I have heard about Moore but I cannot say much about them I do not know enough , having beaten X they must be decent but early and with people out and moved around its hard to say where they belong or will land perhaps you overlooked Union as I did Moore .

Yes totally over looked union , no disrespect to them they are a great team so now i guess i would have to say take out trinity and plug in union

Yeah was told moores line up would all be back by the county tournament. Can anyone else confirm this like the head coach?

Wanting to see fausz vs. that rosado kid. Wasnt it him that gave fausz a good match last year at state?

It was a good match Fausz , has looked very good so far this yr .

Yes I have seen him, it will be tough for anyone to get points on him!

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the gym all you could hear was our battle Hymn ,the clang of steel for a blood rushed feel ,we live for this pain what a glorious deal.No Santas presents to brighten the day we work for more wins its just our way .through strange city's and fields forever, it seems , they traveled so far, to fulfill their dreams .Hours and years through blood sweat and tears you win and lose to conquer your fears ,A Pin or a tech with more time on the mat is the price you pay to get where your at .You climb the ranks of the very best, with more time training and far less rest .

.So this Christmas i say because I am bold the best team in the land wears Purple and Gold .

On the eve of Christmas and on Christmas night I was proud to witness Austin's might , He was sore and tired but gave out a yell let's get to the gym we will give it hell . Much thanks to his coaches for all that they do no father is prouder you all know it's true .some think I am bias but it's easy to see , I know Im blessed because I have three . The regrets that I have I can not take back I pushed one to hard to lead the pack , The first must always save the day his strength and his skill will lead the way , for his brothers and teammates will soon be behind the one who has toiled and made up his mind to go wherever the battle may be so the rest of the state who wants to see , one champion arise and what they can do and who is the KING at ONE FIFTY TWO ,

So with a loud screech of my firebirds tires we went to the gym to fulfill our desires .

When in this house we say "pay the rent "you can see That i have by the bars I have bent .

Pullovers and cleans and lunges they do ,we have our own twists ,things tried and true , you mimic the moves you use on the mat quick bursts of power is where it's at , ATM uses the strictest of form his Deadlift power is far past the norm , He trains with demons and giants galore he is a Norse god a Norse God of War , Wars fought in Circles in Arenas and schools and the gym is the place where he sharpens his tools , he's a modern day warrior and one things for sure , he's on his way to win his four .

So after he trained and was covered in sweat I said time to go son he said dad one more set .

I know what it takes to Make my mark ,because I'm the king of AllTech Horse Park .

So after we started the old black TA we said Merry Christmas and to all a Great day .

CC, SK and Union will have their share of champions but, I think more this year than any in the "recent" past, this title will be won in the wrestle-backs. I think that bodes well for Moore, Ryle, St Xaiver, and Trinity.

What about top 5 for State Duals, big and small school divisions.

Not so sure ,CC had four last yr with 2 high placers Four may be a stretch for them this yr but I think they place as many and probably more . I Think their top scorers score more points than the top scorers last yr , Except maybe S M , just because it would be very hard to do perhaps not , Fausz and ATM will be head hunting they will both score more points than last yr .

Ok Here is my shot at this

#1 Campbell unless injury hits At least 3 state champs in thier lineup plus another kid who should be in the finals

# 2 2-3 State champs , cant figure out a match between Blackwell and Boston if he stays at 19

#3 Trinity , no that football is behind and I bet Bryant stays at HVY (keeps his weight up for college football)

# 4 SK , deeper than most SK teams in the last 5 years but not deep enough

# 5 X , Ryle, Moore, depends on who is hot, X and Moore will make great State duals teams. Moore could win the small school state duals

I think this year the draw is going to play huge in this years state tourny. A team like X could have 8-10 placers with the right draw and score huge points, like the Trinity team of 89 that had no one in the finals and won the state tournament

Didnt X do the same as the 89 Trinity team, the last time X won it all?

X had Knable and another kid in the finals
