Its in the old weightclasses kinda confusing

Something seems a little off........ ;) good rankings ranger. Thanks fr all you do!

Haha yeah old weight classes threw me off. Merry Christmas y'all.

Just imagine if we had those weight again! alot of good bigger guys would be stuck as back up

.

Central Hardin Jared Coffell at 120 has beaten #22 JD Criswell 13-4. And 113 #13 Lucas McCain twice, 14-9 and 4-1.

At 125 (126) #13 Colten Mott, his first name is misspelled. It should be ColtOn. They spelt it wrong last year on the shirts at the state tournament also. If you could change that it would be great. Thanks for the rankings Ranger.

Fixed the weights. Had trouble uploading files so I had to go old school copy/paste. When I did my spreadsheet had the old weights.

Some kids will surely change weights some very soon some already have .nice Xmas thread nice job .

Merry Christmas everyone! Yes it is almost 4 am. Santa has come and gone and here is an update to the rankings. Enjoy!

Now THAT'S dedication!

Hello Otto , Merry Christmas i say , how is the weather in Ohio today ,on Yappi i see an ugly remark about my son a stab in the dark , to diminish his talent and level of skill about his weight they make a great deal , so go back and ask them about who they speak they say that their Phenom has grown oh so weak . They gave him a name he wore it with pride when he came to Kentucky they act like he died .

I know that they see that they were not right he returned and demolished the Franklin Invite , he may not be the best of the best but he does other things unlike the rest .if he had time and all things were even they wouldn't dare question his resolve or reason .for wrestling where ever he thinks it is best , the doubters could never pass his test, he does what none of their heroes do touchdown a tackle and a wrestler too .

A challenge to wrestle up here or up there they want him to lose to take a dare it's not losing or winning ,its just what's right ,no one goes looking to lose a fight, it happens to everyone and many will see his heart is pure lion and always will be , now be proud of those haters on your states website , to them Santas coal on Christmas eve night ,

They called him a Phenom when he was theirs but when he was gone none of them cares , they make remarks and foolish demands , his fate is not theirs its in his own hands , be nice and deliver a message and yell tell all of those haters I said go to Hell .

He sent them all running and this yrs he's done ,

but tell them Don't worry I have one More son . He makes them feel

Foolish with what he can do ,their fear is showing they know that it's true , could someone dare to leave their state and still become a wrestling great , well a national champ at Freshman they see he's big and he's bad and he's Meaner like me . St Paris St Eds and Moeller will see a four time champ will chuckle with glee , when his time comes in his upper years he will leave those haters crying in tears ,. They act as he never was one of their best now they will learn how to lose like the rest a freshman or sophomore can take a loss but as a junior and senior he is the Boss ,

Many years ago I started a fire they tried and they tried to stop the Mpire , i laughed for years as I watched them grow the fatter they got

From eating their crow they said a wrestler my son could not be

They said it because they didn't like me ,well in February ,not march ,in this great state ,they learn a 3 time champ was his fate .

I think Gus Adams should be in top 3 at 120. He lost to Boston by 1 at the Raider Rumble. He has also beat The #1 kid in Ohio, (Daily I think) twice this year.

Didn't Heidorf Major Whalen this weekend?

Yes, 12-4

So what is Hudson going to wrestle? 120 or 126? At the rumble he was at 126. He looks good, put on some real muscle. I don't think he can beat Adams at 120, but he may give him a run.

I think Gus Adams should be in top 3 at 120. He lost to Boston by 1 at the Raider Rumble. He has also beat The #1 kid in Ohio, (Daily I think) twice this year.

Austin Daly Lakota West is ranked #10 in Ohio Division 1 not #1, but I agree Gus looks very good this year. I wouldn't at all be surprised if it is him on top of the podium in February.

Just wondering Mpire who do you see at the top of the podium at each weight this year. You allways get people going and start up more conversation...So lets hear it :)

Maybe more then just the champ?

Well hvy seems to be up in the air unless Bryant stays and he seems to be controlling it.

220 is ATM and I suspect he and Bryant may have a war if he drops Bryant seems to be dominating the hvys better than Austin could .Austin walks around between 215 219 , he is always rising so it could be a great one not sure . how heavy Bryant is . Mueller and some of tr ithers will be on the podium ?

195 , Trevor Thompson should make a move here I have seen some decent looking wrestlers but without knowing their comp I cannot guess .

182 , Carmen and Chamberle with Mathews keeping everyone honest , I had thought Hiero was a lock but I'm not so sure Mathews is more physical than I thought it will depend on how they mature duiring the year .

170 , Lane Jones , as I said earlier I hope he wins of course I want my man Turner on top as well Lol Meiman can be up there as well I don't know all the others ao I cannot comment .

160 , Stephen if he is there , French if he's not , I like How French wrestles a little Boring and flat footed but he had a good game plan against SAM , but you cannot scope out a kid like Stephen . You have to get as fast as him and you can't and the rest you simply have to have good technique def and off .

152 Cooper , unless Stephen is there . If he is it's the best match anyone will ever see at KY state.Montgery Lampe and the rest would follow .

145 Lampe looked dominant I say he beats Polley and the only one that leaves is PH who has the funk to win if he can hit the gym because he won't drop to 40 where he belongs .

138 , Jayce .

if Stephen drops to 152 ..I think NKY would have a few more on the podiums because a couple of the 170's like Meiman and Warwick would probably drop down to 160 and would probably create even a few more moves jmho...

yes mathews controlled the match against steele at the nkac winning 9-2 ..........but i'm serious don't count steele out.. he made the podium last year ..look for him to be back there again

I also don't believe there will be a move from Stephen.. of coursee Mpire would know alot more about that than I would.

On a personal note thanks Ranger for all you do for this great sport !

Aww no light weight predictions hahaha

The only way NKY would get more on the podium is if Kevin or Steph

Drop to 145 and the other stays at 152 or one goes 160 . They both beat Lampe , not sure anyone else does , as for Meiman and whoever taking 60 they cannot beat French , I think Stephen could actually tech Meiman if he wanted no disrespect just being Honest and French is a good technical wrestler with a good stance and decent technique he would beat Meiman fairly easily .only more wins for NKY if Steph and Kevin are split ,

Best chances I see ,Adams a shot Fausz for sure , Hamilton a shot , Kevin , Stephen , for sure unless they meet , jones a great chance. Hiero Can do it , so can Mathews . Thompson a shot . Austin . Just from what I have seen , I like some

Other kids style when they are on Sparh , Erdman , I like the Sk 220 Mueller do some reason hope he takes top 3 unless CC is running close then I hope he gets a goose egg LOL Sk has some other good kids a well Parrot ,

Steel could very easily place I don't think he beats Mathews though and Hiero is pretty slick and Matt knowledgable . Adams is a state champ level kid

No took a break , I have some boisterous boys headin to Ohio tomorrow gettin stuff ready ,

Yeah 138 jayce Jayce Jayce And his attack pack .

132 Fausz Rosado

126 Brock

120 ? Blackwell Rearic Boston Adams Adams Adams Blackwell Boston Rearic I know there are more Sparh .

113 ? Boston Erdman :)

106 Lawson, Sounds good

I know I left out Courtney clay an clay not sure where they are or will

Be expect they are top 4 and the Oldham

Kid Shirkey is a beast he looks like a future college wrestler to me as does French even though I don't like him :) just kidding I actually do minus a few eye pokes , gonna have some fun now time for a KY top ten .

I see Adams, top 3. Meyer brothers finals, Parrot(sk) top 3, Hiero finals, Thompson top 3, Matthews top 3, Fausz in finals, Logan Erdman in top 3, Sparh making a run, Jake Erdman making a run, Woods making a run, North making a run, of course Back pack, Brock, and Blackwell, Shirkey. Can't wait for Cooper vs. Meyers. I say Meyers techs him in 2nd period. I can't leave out Owens in top 3.

Dezember At 113 Vega at 106 , and Heidiorf are all good , rosado Willen and worth And Whalen . All top twenty or 30 worthy depending on the day. Trevor Thompson and Troxell could

Both be Champs if cards fall right .

Thanks for the rankings Ranger,AJ is like the Jeffersons, moving on up to the top, lol. Really,I told him the only ranking he needs to be at the top of is the last.keep up the good work

So does anybody know what weight Mike Whalen from HC is gonna wrestle! He wrestled 26 at Lafayette but I thought maybe he was waiting for the 2 pounds or maybe he is staying at 26! Can somebody updat me on this?

I am hearing Bobby Bryant moved up weight to avoid the match with Myer. Is this true?

I read a lot about the light and middle weights but I hardly read any comments about the heavies. I am hearing a lot about a few heavy wrestlers. We have been told to watch Madison Co's Paul Couch, Fern Creek's Gabe Lord, Newly bumped up from 220lbs Trinity's Bobby Bryant and Grant Co's Cody Miskell. We have seen all wrestlers wrestle but the Miskell kid. Has anyone seen Grant's Heavy wrestle? Is he a contender for state title or placer?? Any predictions for heavy weight placers?

Miskell is a real dark horse

If Bryant stays at hvy, it will be hard for anyone else to win. I would say miskell is a legitimate placer along with kids like young, porter, and lord. All are tough kids.

Bryant is dominating with the shoot for the leg and then lift it over the head move. The heavys are not expecting that. It is a good choice move to make on Bryant's part to put on the heavy bulls for a lighter heavy. Bryant is quick to shoot on the first round and grab the leg. But I think, now that the heavys know what to expect out of Bryant and the leg lift move he has been winning with, I feel some of the heavys will start training harder to counter that. It seem that some under estimate hvy. I have read some posted comments that hvy and 220 wt are sloppy and slow, lazy and not hard working. But from what I have seen out of both of these wt classes we have some good athletes and I look forward to see who steps up and gives Bryant a run for his money, so to speak. I like to root for the underdog myself. Recruiting will be elevated this year for 220 and Hvy. We are interested to see if a underdog will emerg from the shadows in heavy class....

Bryant will never lift miskell. However Bryant will win state

bryant already did that to miskell with a 43 sec. pin. he is wrestling 285 because thats where his coach needs. we do not have a heavy, we have first year 220's bobby is the only kid strong enough to deal with the big guys. gaining weight as fatboy and others have sugested has nothing to do with it, nor does what weight austin meyers goes. he will do what coach brown says is best for the team.

Miskell is powerful and improved but very raw with no one to wrestle at his weight at his school I am guessing , he could be very tough with more time or the right room , ATM is a small 220 but weighed in at 220 today layed the smack down on GMVA one of the toughest tournaments in OHio with 5 pins in just over 3 min and a win over last yrs 220 champ a state qualifier in Ohio in the finals , Bryant is dominating Hvys it seems in Ky , probably even more than Austin could while he is at 220 ,a 240 lb or so good wrestler can dominate hvy as some national

Hvy champs have done , hvys can't usually shoot , Austin can shoot hit blast standups and anything a lightweight can at 220 , not sure what he could do as a hvy right now , in three yrs in college everyone will find out , He's a Hoosier football and wrestling fan today :)/> looking for double duty , his brother is an Xbox fan but after today he might become a wrestling fan again .

I'm sure winning a state title is best for any team .

ATM will wrestle him at state duals in an exhibition , it they want or allow it after all the matches , he doesn't care if he wins or loses , just don't hurt ATM he's got four in his sights ,

Meyer and Bryant would be a great exhibition match. My vote for the win would be Myers. He is a good kid. I did some checking and I hear Miskell is training hard and wants to improve from what I am told. I hear he works on his own now.? I hear no one on his team wants to even run drilsl with the kid for what ever reason. I heard that there were words exchange between Miskell and his team because no one would warm up with him at a tournament. They said he is to rough is what was said. Some would think the coach would not let that go on. It is sad to see a good wrestler go without good training. Seems this kid could go far. We will be watching. We would also like to see that exhibition with Meyer and Bryant. Lets make it happen.

Well Miskell is about 50 lbs bigger than anyone on his team and barely makes weight and hasn't on occasion so why would they I am a big supporter but if you want to whoop up on someone do it on other heavys , no probl

Any other big kid doesn't have or any above average one , sad but true

A coach also would not let smaller less experienced wrestlers be harmed or injured needlessly by a larger hvy who will not gain much from drilling with them anyway , how many kids over 200 are even on the team let alone over 270 , I believe he is working on his own but I have seen he has gotten pinned and that tells me he needs more work , he could be one heckuva wrestler but he needs to work smarter

Meyer and Bryant would be a great exhibition match. My vote for the win would be Myers. He is a good kid. I did some checking and I hear Miskell is training hard and wants to improve from what I am told. I hear he works on his own now.? Soriano does not wrestle for bourbon. Alex Wright deserves soriano spot or higher

Just going by Rangers Rankigs. He is listed and Alex is not.

I think it was an honest mistake. The last ranking had Alex ranked and Soriono not.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, Ranger, but you can remove LaRue's Mason Ray from the rankings. Last I heard, he was no longer on the team.

Will we be seeing some updated rankings anytime soon?

Ki Ryder beat mink of Wayne Co. 4-2 lead then to injury default.

Colton Mott at 126 from Harrison County broke his hand 3 weeks ago & it will sideline him for the rest of the year. But after talking to him, he is anxious to get healthy in the offseason and come back good and strong next year.

Jacob Warwick is now at 160 and lost by a point to Wyatt Courtney at Dragon.

Courtney pinned Warwick at the Dragon

Possumdaddy:

You are correct - Courtney pinned him with 11 seconds to go in the match. Prior to that the score was 4-1.

My appologizes- I took information from a parent on the team. Looks like he might have been off on his results. He was updating me live at the tournament as I was at Regions.

When will the revised rankings come out?

I'd say he's working on them now and will be out soon. I would think before regionals. I know he's been very busy at the middle school level.

Any word on new state rankings

Agnew will win regions.

New rankings will be posted shortly, after folks have a chance to look them over. Thanks to the ranking committee, and Coach McCoy, for setting that up.
