Time to quit ignoring the Elephant in the room .
GMVA . Campbell County , Simon Kenton,Ryle , Walton from Ky .and about 48 other schools .
According to a lot of those idiots on yappi our KY boys don't stand a chance seeing how KY is so inferior. By my count we have a legit shot in at least 8 weight classes. I hope we bring all 8 home to KY, and beat the !!!! out of some buckeye tail in the process. Bunch of morons!
Rep. KY Proudly good luck to Campbell County , Simon Kenton, Ryle , Walton.
We have a good shot a few weight classes. Top 3 at least.
Saw this in football for years... Then along came Highlands.... I think KY has caught up alot with the programs in Ohio. We now have more than a punchers chance
Which is a whole other topic. I see where Cov Cath is going to have a wrestling program someone has to get Highlands involved... doubt mueller would allow any of his precious fb players to play but....
Well I think along came Trinity but what do I know . Except Ohio football I saw the most dominant team ever at Colerain
In 2004 all those kids that put UC on the map Highlands never fielded a team that could challenge them doubt they ever do please dont debate you will lose . Trinity has the numbers and ability to do what they do , As for punchers chance don't need it wrestlers make their own , There are underclassmen who will challenge at Gmva and will dominate it In yrs to come and obviously they are a bit interested in the downfall of another wrestler ,win or lose there is not 1 wrestler at GMVA who could walk a mile in his shoes not 1 could do what he does with what he has had to work with and go through , hope he gets it done . Definatly a bunch that can challenge.
I'm talking nky football teams ..I know Trinty and St X for that matter have strong teams and always will. I wasn't looking to start a debate ky vs Ohio football... not even close.. Ohio is kind of the sec in football and has been for years...I was just happy to see a NKY team finally win a game against one of the big guns over there. As for wrestling your right ..much different outcome than football. I graduated from SK in 86 and wrestling was huge then and glad it's growing more each year.
Not trying to debate , just impressed with Trinity , public school yes Highlands but across the country it doesn't matter they don't. Are what type of school it is just how you do . Yes KY wrestlers are making noise more than when my boys were little in Ohio , Living in Colerain for yrs wedged. Between Elder Moeller and X , it a dog eat dog world Love the Cards , and a lot of the Moeller team , LOL I had a kid go through little cards play for Moe , it's like Blasphemy but the Cards have us a hater pass they knew why we left I love em
For it , straight up Classy , proud of them as they are my Boys .
Looking for good results from this tourney. Who cares what others are saying (actually I see a lot of respect from those that matter, especially in the team race), it will get settled on the mat. GMVWA is one of the better tournaments in Ohio, on par with SWOWCA. The lighter weights are loaded, upperweights are quite weak. Let's hope the weather holds out.
So, throw out the top 8 and how you think they will do. I see folks on yappi want to see Stephen and Bo go at it.
So, throw out the top 8 and how you think they will do. I see folks on yappi want to see Stephen and Bo go at it.
Here is a very abbreviated breakdown from a yappi poster, including some KY boys:
Graham has great light weights and will be tested with some great performers in no order:
106: Stickely - Graham, Heidkcamp - Butler, May - Eaton, Spiess - Delta
113: Seipel - Graham, Riley - MV, Kelly - Bellbrook, Brewer - Franklin
120: Plummer - CJ, Kehn - Sheridan
126: Parrott - MV, Moore - Graham, Trigg - WCH, Ott - Eaton, Slonkosdky - Versailles
132: Jordan - Graham, Hinkle - MV, Middleton - Franklin,
138: Bowshier - KR, Henkle - Graham
145: Hamilton - CC, Branham - Miamisburg, Calvert - Sidney, Fahrer - Delta, Deeter - Covington, Stableton - Sheridan
152: Marinelli - Graham, Cooper - SK, Davis - Middletown, Kowal - Princeton, Schramm - Bellbrook, Logan Jones - Walton Verona, Kersey - Miamisburg, Smith - WCH, Staten - MV, Wright - Franklin, Henderson - T/M, Early - Boro
160: Bo - Graham, Stephen Myers - CC, Globke - Middletown, Buchanon - Techumsah, Wooden - Coffman, Van Dyke - WCH, Adkins - Boro
182: Running C-M, Williams - Brookville, Waugh - Sheridan
195: Harris - Urbana, Deringer - Versailles
220: Myers - CC, Shaw WCH, Henderson - Franklin
285 Harmon - Ben Logan
As for all the alleged KY bashing going on at yappi......well I must be reading another forum. I see very little of it. True there are a few jabs at Myers, but just as many coming to the defense of Stephen. OH folks would like to see a Stephen/Bo match. Two big names going at it, who wouldn't want to see that? Bo has no competition in this tourney, and Stephen would give him a decent match. The one to watch here is the Graham frosh, Marinelli. He ran the gauntlet at Ironman (unseeded!) and if I read seed criteria correctly, he will enter 52 unseeded! I will be at Medina, not too far from home so no breakdown of GMVWA for me. I do look for Miamisburg to make some noise as sort of a dark horse. Graham is consensus favorite of course. Hamilton at 45 should place top three, he will see resistance from Branham, Calvert, and Fahrer. Parrott looks to get through at 26, though Graham has another tough freshman in Moore. Will Moore be unseeded as well? As stated in earlier post, upperweights are weak. I see nobody to challenge Austin. Even Graham kids are weak at these weights.
I read that as well. I'm thinking more of how the top 8 in KY will place over all.
Gmvwa , is far tougher than Swowca as everyone will see when all the Swowca top placers who are there do not do as well as they did at Swowca ,
Gmvwa makes Swowca look like a youth tournament .
I did see a bit of KY bashing but yes just as much defending and some intelligent posts not aimed at stirring the pot , also saw some
Dumbass say stephen would not place and best he could do was 5th , sooooo
8 #1 seeds just as I counted, but I'm sure they will try to move some of them down.
You can see seedings on Baums page.
To bad union wont have there top guys there. Could be a total wakeup call for ohio wrestlers.
The people that actually know wrestling in Ohio, know these boys are very tough.
Doesn't matter who you whip. The Internet trolls will always say you ran from someone.
GMVWA is a very tough tournament. Got to be honest though, if we were going to come all the way from Union Co. I would rather travel a few extra hours and go to Brecksville or even Powerade.
152 is tough. Cooper has a straight path to the finals according to seedlings right now
Where are brackets at online?
No brackets just seeds
152 will be extremely fun to watch, wish i could make the trip up. I look for stephen to put a sock in the mouths of all the doubters from across the river in the semis, then give all the ky fans the match theyve been waiting for in the finals. good luck to him and all the boys this weekend.
Would b nice , Great seeds for almost all the KY kids
Lots to say about a 2 x champ
An returning one at 152 not getting a 1 seed at 152 but it can wait till later .
So is SM at 152 or 160 this weekend?
After watching a couple of matches on Marinelli i think Myers is going to beat him, maybe even major him. Cooper doesn't have a cake walk to the finals, the Delta kid with a 5 seed is an OH state placer and a stud.
I'm predicting a Cooper Myers finals.
152
It's going to be something to watch, for sure! I'll be heading up later today to see for myself.
Buckeye - I agree that Breck and Powerade are tougher, but for local NKY teams to only have to drive 90 miles to this tourney and be in one of the top OH events, I think they are stepping up their RPI a good bit. Where is Union this weekend?

Goof stuff , some brackets are phenomenal others are avg and one particularly one side is off the chain ,
CC is taking care if buisness but it gets tougher as you go , actually hanging in there with Graham and had a few people from Ohio come
Grab me and say hey your boys Team is tough and I said yes they should do well
Actually saw a perfect match , ATM , shoots lifts throws the half in the air on the way down pin is in before they hit mat ,pulls guy in from the edge ,pin , 13 sec , 3 seconds longer than his first match but still nice technique .saw some Ryle kids Erdmans looked good one ran into Faust and had some
Trouble Logan looked good , saw their 220 warming up don't know how he ended up I'm sure Adams is dominating , Walton took a few picked up a couple of the Jones matches and they wereTCB Lane like Steph has most of the yr appears a bit undersised but doesn't wrestle small he is on a Mission as I have said .
SK is in second behind CC and looks great Hiero picked apart a few kids and Cooper dominated ,
Saw Mueller missed his matches Ryle is top five as well I believe .
CC had a great first Round and is doing well Maggard was wrestling great Sparh as well Turner Fausz Stephen Austin Hamilton all still in championship as well as others ,
I know people will say I'm bias but Mathews had a Bs ref and som BS calls in his last match had a takedown in the first that wasn't awarded and in the third the kid ran his but off and fled the mat it was terrible finally the red awarded a point for stalling after Mathews forced everything and the kid backed up all 3 period and it was sent into OT obviously a gassed Mathews who had been forcing the attack was spent got shot and lost in OT , just the match scenario he should have walked of the Matt before OT started to gather himself and got a breather , ref knew he messed up that's why he gave the point last sec , .
Steph pin in 1 min and just under 1 min and had a rattail I missed where he pinned in a min plus in the first , ATM has last yrs champ at 220 in his class so probably just waiting for it and there is a good Lakota 220 as well in the mix somewhere .
A few should have easy sweeps
152 is completely loaded on one side , Stephen , Marrinelli a 2nd at iron Man , Aj Kowal , and Schramm a Nhsca nat champ ??? Latrell Davis didn't make it or he would have been on this side too lol ...

Good showing thus far, keep up the good work boys. Three of top five so far are from this side of the river, not bad for a "second" rate state.

you beat me to it Mpire lol
You are absolutly correct, but it would be around 6 1/2 - 7 hrs. for us. we are at Mater Dei in Evansville Ind.
We are in the lead after day 1.
Yes , but my bias rambling nerve wracked handicapped arm writing gibberish is not on par with your intilectual scriblings ,
Very well put .and thanks I hope Stephen can pull it off with all the smack about him running from Iron Man it will become evident regardless that he could have done well by the end of this tournament and yr ,funny they say he doesn't have the comp or room in KY an it's true to an extent but he dominated at Reading and CC would spank them ,had he wrestled all summer rather than play ball he would be sharper but who knows he is a darkhorse and no one can tell what he is going to do ever , he's unpredictable even to me , that's why I like Austin more bwahahahahahahahah
Buckeye your missing out CC SK Ryle all cleaning house and Walton with only a few wrestlers is raising some eyebrows .Union should have came I'm sure Graham has enough for everyone lol
No offense, but please do not think Buckeye speaks for Union County. We brought him in 3 years ago and he has views most of us do not agree on out here. The whole Myers debate ,he had alot different tune last season. So all of us TRUE Braves we do not have a dog in that fight.
True braves dog in a fight Myers debate , I'm kind of lost ,Buckeye seems like an honest wrestling fan to me , regardless of any debate last yr or who took what side and I would be schocked if he took any other than what was best for a kid .
The fights over two knockouts and two more being delivered followed by two more followed by ......never mind let it go
GMVA , tomorrow I suspect a Ky state champ meets a top ten nationally ranked kid who just placed second at Iron Man with the winner to face another KY state champ in all
Likelihood a KY legend from a Legendary Wrestling Family , different styles different states , one can only hope , not taking anything from any other or match there will be great ones but I have never seen a class like this outside a national tourny , and although they may not admitt it they haven't seen a class like this in Ohio in an ordinary tournament either , 2 state champs , a national champ in Schramm and a top ten nationally ranked kid in Marrinelli , along with a very good Kowal ,only one stud stayed home or it would have. Been completely insane .
No one cares about any last yr debate only one that should is me , my kids are the ones who set out most of the yr , had they not I doubt anyone would be questioning who was going to smoke this class tomorrow.
It's ATMs time of the month he's moody with moments of smiling euphoria mixed with nasty and moments of being a total a hole , he's obviously in the zone and wants to win a decent tourny ,weighed in bigger than ever maybe his blood pressure is up can't say he has wrestled any top kids yet but he looked text book perfect saw him yelling at some kids on the team for just missing some majors and some team points he says some are being :)/$;&:$: and they should be beating Graham ,
At the start of the second day, cc is behind graham by 11 1/2 points.

Haha Austin Myers did work.
Yes Austin did work and wrestled a perfect tournament and for the second tournament in a row , Rumble and Gmva he pinned or teched through without any real OWvconsideration of course steph won ow at rumble so ok , but Bo wind it at Gmva tecd Globke nothing else any better than Austin and Austin pinned last yrs champ in the first like every one else .
Now on to 152 , the ref cheated Schramm
Great Showing by the KY teams but what about Austin Myers, crazy good tournament!
I guess 152 was a bad choice for Stephen. I guess you should of ducked the competition like you do with Austin
How was he ducking anyone? Stephen either had the #1 or #8 ranked kid in the nation. Don't think there is any "running" and Austin has been the same weight the past 2 years how is he avoiding anyone? If anything everyone should and is avoiding him. One hell of a tournament for Austin. Wrestled a total of like 3 minutes in 5 matches. Don't think he's got to duck anyone
Little do you know daddy runs everything Hahahahaha. I be the god of ky bwhaha and I think he don't want them boys to lose on the Matt he be the one who can't stand loses a hahahah j he thinks he knows wrastlin beahahaha

Marrineli won it by most opinions .
Now on to 152 , the fat @$$ ref cheated Schramm in the quarter match against Marrinelli twice once with a point for Marrinelli on an eye poke no one saw then Schramm clearly scored at the end of the second and the ref didnt give it to him .
On to Stephen Marrinelli , Stephen scores takedown first period ,marinneli escapes 2-1 steph , we win toss defer Marinelli goes down escapes 2 - 2 towards end of 2nd after some scrambles by both Marinelli shoots gets the legs steph whizzers they go out of bounds ref waves it off and out then awards two , after way more than two coaches in Grahams corner yell two , Same fat @$$ ref that cheated Schramm earlier , then steph chooses down escapes 4 - 3 , Marrinelli gets called for stalling then two seconds later Stephen does not even possible ? Then with time elapsing steph presses because he has to gives up two on a shot 6- -3 , bs graham gets the calls the ref sucked and Marrinelli is great but got two calls in the Schramm match or it woul have ended in a tie , and He got a bogus go ahead score against Stephen with Stephen getting the choice in the third where an escape would have given him the lead , am I bias , yes did the ref change the gd call yes , did he have not one not two but three bad calls helping the same kid in two matches , yes ,total BS ,
Kevin wrestled Marrinelli great
Stephen soundly beat Schramm before he pinned him in the second. In Ohio particularly Dayton no one will get a call against Graham period bogus they protect their stars , yeah I am a mad dad and a sore loser , watch both matches and tell me it wasn't BS ,
As for GMVA bring someone else next yr for Austin or maybe graham can bus some 220 kids in from across state like they do half their team . Won't matter Austin will stick them too .
Feel better now :)/>
Congrats to CC for winning big school ,
Congrats to graham for winning small school and overall school with open enrollement .
As for OW how could Marrinelli or Austin not win it ?????????? Bo is the best but it was just a gift for him not for the best performance of the day .
Always a graham fan always have been but Bs is Bs , and yeah I almost got kicked out lol , all a scenario set up before the tournament to add to the Graham hysteria , also wtf the graham kids can put in chokes bend ankles and all kindsa bd and not get called for its a joke .
Yeah Austin did work hope he gets to do work on a falcon or two next yr , he's not a sixth grader anymore wrestling an eighth grader ,
As for all the Ohio bs they got shut up By CC SK Ryle yeah congrats to Graham with all their advantages open enrollement kida from all over open mats and club team practices that other teams are not allowed to get away with , had they not been there , old ky would have cleaned house and gave them a black eye ,
Next week CC at Fairfield and its black eye time . All ther bs talk goes out the window CC is for real and if the refs are all for real I predict they smash Fairfield .
Little do you know daddy runs everything Hahahahaha. I be the god of ky bwhaha and I think he don't want them boys to lose on the Matt he be the one who can't stand loses a hahahah j he thinks he knows wrastlin beahahaha
Any matches available to watch online?
Sounds like excuses, bawhahaja, he should have beat Marilue because he won state in dthree!!'.!.!.! And ATM should have won it because he was the ow at Jh star hahahaha I live ky and I'm sure the boyz will beat anyone I. Ky hahahaha hahahaha
Congrats ky boys!!!

What are you talking about!?!?!? Ky let Jh kids wrestle HS and they have no points system hahahahahaabana you think they have an advantages ??????? Havana you have no clue ?!!!!!! Ky kids can wrastle 100 in a seaso. If they want! Hahabawab
hahahahahahahha fastest pin ATM 10 sec .
Most pins in least time award ATM 5 pins in just over 3 min , Bow Down the wrestling god was in the house and he doesn't like bs .
There's always an excuse but sometimes there's some bs oh well , as I said I feel better no problem making a statement everyone knows is true And glad I don't care who doesn't like it all the graham faithful
Or anyone else , I would take up for them if they were getting bs calls it is what it is , I have no tie and have never even seen Schramm and he got screwed worse than Stephen , no big deal happy to see how a champ comes back with a win and another with a pin ,
I am confused Austin runs from people Stephen a 145 cert wrestler wrestles 160 and 152 , ATM won fesh nat then stayed 220 for nat duals , is still a small
220 an still does well. Beat a returning state champ at state handily last yr and does his chores and says his prayers , who cares about JR high and point systems , Ohio has small schools that can let kids drive 150 miles to go to school ao they can wrestle for them then have three practices a day two with kids from everywhere
I'm green with envy but it is the truth , shouldn't have to have the refs give them matches .
I have heard the graham speech oh so many times " well maybe you guys will get the call next time " Marrinelli will surely be a great and has all the advantages plus the good luck of a fat @$$ ref who likes to give him points or keep them from his opponent LOL I call it as I see it over and done , As I said , Fairfield next week . And it's ohio that hides ask the Swowca committee ,
Not going to be a good day for any 152s next week at Fairfield , Hope none of em stay home .
I think Mueller could have won if ATM wasn't there Nye was a big kid but to thin to win and to light to fight of ATM , very proud of both my boys , one learned a lesson , one gave one , saw a lot of schools fall to Campbell county , think more will next week ,Three champs for CC at least next week big match for ATM , cakewalk for Sam with a good match from Aj Kowal possible , and a slaughter for Fausz , Mathews , Turner , Maggard Hamilton , Sparh should all do very well along with the rest , nice bs call against Mathews at GMVWA as well , guess CC was making to many waves .
Just imagine if Mpire would have gotten his way with the wife and enrolled the boys at Graham. Steph would undoubtedly be the best JV wrestler in the country this year.....Just sayin"........
Lol no Stephen would be dieted down to 40 or his cert weight of 45 like all the graham kids and he would have won iron man because he has beaten those kids already , Austin could have went where ever at 195 or 220 and made lineup easily ,
With their points added to Graham's at iron mans. graham becomes number one in the nation , and in that room Stephen would hammer a much slower less talented Marinelli who's only advantage is his sise the refs and his room and partners ,
Stephen and Austin do not wrestle at a school where every kid in the state of Ohio who has any talent at all train so that school can take advantage of it , they do not cut to the extreme of any if that schools top wrestlers and the refs do not give them points .
Austin is and will be the best wrestler in either state before its over with , Stephen will be Stephen a kid who has more talent than anyone he will ever wrestle no matter what weight he goes wether he wins by one or loses by 15 .
Nice match for third dominating a kid the refs had to cheat so Marinelli could win totally dismantling a national champ then pinning him .
In all honesty any kids close to the wrong kids class that were good at graham were frowned upon , and chased off , ask Jerod Cortez ,
Now does anyone want to talk wrestling facts and how good someone is , can be , was , and who protects who even at the cost of their own team , and who runs from who to protect their image ,
And Austin easily scored more team points than ANY kid in the tournament ,more by himself than some teams accumulated together His team doesn't care about an OW either they do however smile at Five first period pins .
Wow - 152 was a great weight class. The OH and KY boys were fortunate to have a bracket with 3 nationally ranked wrestlers at an in season tourney and so close to home.
First off, I think the bracket was way, way off-balance, with 6 of the 8 placers coming from the bottom half. Cooper wrestled Marinelli well, but he certainly had an easier road to the finals.
I did not see Logan Jones' last match, but I'm honestly surprised he didn't beat the Springboro kid to make the podium. Jones appears to be the superior wrestler. Did he make a mistake and get caught on his back?
Kowal of Princeton surprised me. He was unseeded and had a horrible draw, with Marinelli in Rd 2 and then conso semi with Myers. Still, 5th place in that bracket is nothing to be ashamed of. Mpire - I don;t think Stephen will see Kowal at Fairfield. Even if he's there, he will likely be 145. I talked to some Princeton people and he was allowed to drop to 145 for GMVA but stayed at 152 for the chance to wrestle kids like Marinelli, Myers and Cooper, but will make 145 in January and for post-season. He did look small and not at all cut-down compared to the other 152s.
Davis of Middletown was home sick and had been too sick to practice for a couple days. (Apparently lots of kids out sick across SW Ohio) I don;t think he was dodging anyone. Hopefully we'll get to see Myers-Davis at Fairfield! I know Myers is the favorite but still think Davis gives him a good match.
Congrats to all the KY teams for a great showing!
Bigmama,
Logan Jones missed his chance to make the podium in a staked weight, which would have been a nice accomplishment. He took Mattin from Delta to o.t. in the quarters but didn't take advantage of the chance to win it in regulation which guaranteed at worst placing 6 th. In the wrestle backs, as you speculated, got caught on his back in the 3rd period and never got off loosing a decision. It was a disappointment but that's why we go to SWOCA and GMVWA and seek out other tournaments in Ohio, for the compitition. It was a great tournament and congratulations to all the Kentucky who placed there.
Well the ref signaled out of bounds and Stephen was still on his feet , then Marinelli kept pressuring and Stephen went down clearly after the ref waved out of bounds your full of crap , Stephen never was down before thAt and the ref waited till he heard Jeff Jordan yell two , watch the match don't know you and your a queen too .
Moderators can see for themselves try are my moderators not Ohio dirty cheating pieces of crap like the ref in Jordan's back pocket who somehow had both of his wrestlers matches in quarters and semis ,
There was no td awarded before out of bounds and Stephen was never down and had the whizzer in untill after the ref waved them out no excuse about fleeing that's a 1 and the shot was initiated on the edge of the mat , no fleeing no td before out of bounds no excuses he flat out got robbed and the ref flat out listened to Jordan say two and folded like a fat piece of garbage , You don't hold a two takedown it's not a three and there never was a takedown , all the Ohio Hooplah is bs , they shit themselves when Stephen came out and scored right away and then had to throw him out of his game , nice seeing him demolish Schramm who They also had to Cheat so Marinelli could win ,
And yes Austin had the best tournament and won the only award that he controlled , most pins in least time ,
All the haters will say yeah it looked good Doesnt change what everyone knows , it was a bad call and everyone respects the greatness of graham
Jordan and what they do and that is the reason most will not admitt to what they see .
I agree with everything you just said. And Stephen looked great on the first takedown. I've been around wrestling a long time and my only point in replying was the correct call was a takedown. Ref made a mistake calling them out of bounds. He should not have. He corrected it and called a takedown. You said see for yourself on an open forum. I simply watched the video and disagreed with you and you attacked me. That's what you always do when someone disagrees with you.
Mpire- I was at the tournament and I remember watching that match and instantly thinking Stephan got the wrong end of the deal. However, I have now watched that video several times (four times) and I think the ref made the right call. It appears he was beginning to award two then they went out of bounds. There was no hesitation when he called the takedown.
I don't buy into your witchhunt that always seems to follow you, or so you claim. Call it what it is, and Stephan lost fair and square. Marinelli is 8th by Intermat and being so the result did not come as a big shocker. I was more impressed with Stephan handling himself like a man and you like a fool. Your boy is outstanding and he lost. Chalk it up and get better. Stephan is outstanding and he just got beat. Shit happens move on and beat everyone else you face.
Mpire it was fun but I'm done chatting with you. I had hoped to give you another viewpoint but apparently the only view you are capable of seeing Is the inside of your rectum.
Awesome post wrestlingguru. Exactly as I seen it. Stephen is awesome...but he lost.
Well when was the takedown before they were called out , he was. Never down and had a whizzer in on his feet I watched and I was there never did Stephens knees or hands touch the mat and give Marinelli control , never and if it was called out it was out and yes I will attack because it was a bad call no td on the mat none before our of bounds was called no bs fleeing either , go back and suck some more Jordan / graham /(/) and If you got a problem or Anyone else does feel free to visit ,
After watching the video, right call or not, he called them out of bounds first and thats that. Had they not been called out of bounds, maybe we would have seen a scramble of some sorts out of stephen, thus maybe resulting in something other that a td. You can see stephen look back, see them being waived out of bounds, and stops wrestling, bc he thought they were out, then kinda throws his hand up like "wth". However, even though he may not have got the call, it still did not break him, he still went after it. then when the buzzer sounded, he patted the kid on the back, and still walked off the mat like a true champ. stephen is the kind of wrestler i hope my boys will be like one day. i am a true believer in the stephen bandwagon, and i think he wins that match 8 out of 10 times.
Refs reverse calls all the time in this sport. How many times have you seen a ref signal points for the wrong wrestler and then reverse it? It was a scramble out of bounds the ref did signal out of bounds, then reversed it and made the right call. Absolutely the right call. Sorry, I would have loved to see Stephan win but he didn't. He might win 5,6,7, maybe even 8 out of 10 times. But that was one of the 2 out of 10 times I guess.
.
I have to agree with mpire one this one. Watching it, he clearly signals out of bounds. If you make the call, don't change it. I have seen for years certain teams get calls and it kills me. You get the feeling refs get intimidated into giving certain teams and coaches calls. The only positive is that it's during season, I have seen it at state, that's the most unfortunate time.
But great showing by Ky in both Ohio and Indiana this weekend.
Ref called them out of bounds ,no takedown untill after wards , doesn't have shit to do with reversing a call you tell a kid they are out they quit wrestling and some hometown hero gets a takedown and the ref pretends he didn't make the call because the million dollar coach of OHIOs greatest wrestlers are in his corner jumping up saying two , bs no 2 out of ten OT anything else matters its bs , and guru you have been supportive but how many of your kids go to Jordan camps and how powerful are they in your mind , odd I thought you a true blue guy. I don't. Carr if everyone bows down I never did I call what's right no excuses needed when my kids lose they lose as for shit calls that's the second big one Stephen got in Ohio the first one his fresh yr when he was about to hammer mines watch that too and while your at it watch the Schramm match same ref same crap calls ,it's a joke and sorry if Stephen beat one of your kids , love you man but it was a bad call you know it .
I just watched the video and my first thought was where was the protest from the corner. The ref ovbviously waved his arms that they were out of bounds and then awarded two afterwards. I think an inquiry could have got that call corrected. There were two refs why not even a consult.
Not a caveman and not strong these days , just a dad who knows how to call a match ,
It seems the Ohio posters have different views ,
Whatever it Was bs hope everyone enjoys their time at Jordan's and if a coach at Cc tells me he thinks that's the right call because he's worried about stepping on goes over his own kids welfare he won't have I worry about it anymore .
You argue you that kind of call till the end .
Stephen and Austin know as much about wrestling as any one else , Steph knows he was screwed draw your lines .
Ok a dad getting pissed when he feels his kid got screwed, I can see your point there. It was certainly a controversial call and the ref shouldn't have called them out of bounds. I wish your boys great success and hope they kick ass at Fairfield. They are both phenomenal wrestlers and make Ky proud.
Either way very defensive match, a take down match won by a beast of a freshman, really no mat wrestling at all.
Is Marinelli a true Freshman in age or has he been held back a year or two, he might be the biggest most developed looking freshman I've ever seen,
Sometimes things go your way sometimes they dont and you just hope theres enough time to overcome the bad calls. Meyers had time but couldnt get any offense going after falling behind. Congrats to both kids on maintaining composure and putting on a good match. Would love to see them go at it again, with a little more offense!
Evillle dad the first slide by in that match that Myers hit I thought I was watching johnny again. Man was your son a slick wrestler on his feet!
.
Mpire- Your right my son did go to Jordan's back before Jordan's was as big as it is now. As did your boy's. Stephan wrestled on his national team when Stephan was an eight grader so you know him better than most on here do. I don't coach anymore and never had any of my kids go to Jordan's outside of my own.
When your as good as Stephan your going to get calls that go your way and go the other way. Stephan got the short end of the stick as a freshman. I completely agree with you on that.
However Stephan has gotten some calls for him in big matches. I remember his state finals match at OAC. If my memory serves me right Stephan got taken down on the edge of the mat, and I thought for sure the ref was going to award a takedown and to Stephans good will he didn't and Stephan goes on to win the match; or it was an escape. Hell that was four years ago I wonder if you even remember. Lol
So you've been on both sides of the fence I know you have.
In the end lets not forget how great Marinelli, Cooper, and Stephan all wrestled this weekend. All three are deserving of National recognition.
Hey nice compliment, thanks!
Meyers looked as good as any, hit it hard, fast and finished as well!.
Just watched the match on YouTube. First of all, its obvious that these 2 guys are outstanding wrestlers with incredible technique and work ethics. Both of them were extremely classy after the match. That being said.....Stephen got SCREWED on a horrible call. The ref CLEARLY signals out if bounds, which at that time the whistle should have been blown, but it wasn't. The ref let the action continue and then signaled 2 takedown. Gotta side with Mpire on this one. Can't believe CC's coaches didn't take that one straight to the table, could have been over turned. I was told a long time ago that you can only see someone's true heart and desire when they have to comeback and wrestle for 3rd. Congrats to Stephen for having the heart of a champion and coming back to take 3rd. Congrats to all the KY guys who went up there and represented. Ohio may be further along than we are in wrestling, but they now know that these KY boys aren't scared of a challenge and we will happily engage in a battle whenever they want some.

I read your post more than four times , I figured you were a big Jordan supporter , and you need to watch it a few more times but wipe your glasses first quit looking through those graham colored specs , and as for Marinelli being ranked 8th by intermat so what an Ohio kid on a national powerhouse Ohio team who came in second in an Ohio tournament that lacked its usual depth in the class he was in not having any top 5 kids in it , not blasting him he's a great wrestler but guess who runs intermat , an Ohio guy guess where he you and graham are from Ohio , an 8th so what Stephen has beaten intermat number 1 s before , your bias on the whole match is obvious with Jordan / intermat remarks , you had your mind made up before you watched the match , just a building block and propaganda tool used by a team trying to claw to the top and a ref who was to scared to make the right call ,
Nice way to cheat a great kid his sr yr one who has Been through more than all your graham and Ohio heroes all so some propaganda based wrestling machine can rise through the ranks with unearned wins , a bs call I guess it will come down to who hates who and what stated your from , either way like to see any coach explain where the two was before the ref called it out Any of course Jordan and all his supporters could come up with something , yes it should have been argued but some coaches do not argue calls they have reasons , as of stephs OAC match lol he had a whizzer in no control and ROOT argued it after there was a debate steph won and won again bigger next yr proving he was the better wrestler .
A big match with state pride national rankings and more involved , and a bs call by the ref giving the edge to an instate star vs one who was and left , what a joke they should have panned ther camera over to the graham corner and counted heads a bit more than two over there .
Enjoy the bogus win the gift and the propaganda they get from beating all the ky champs and I hope graham and everyone who gets their kicks chokes on it ,in a tourny down the road from graham what did anyone suspect my wife and I saw the match with Schramm and said to each other I hope we don't get that ref and I said not much chance , well guess what we did , I hope he burns in skunk ref hell where dirty fat bas):)/>:$:$ go no longer a graham fan , hey everyone spend 20 bucks to Go wrestle live and be throw dummies for graham kids and they can pick you apart and use you for their advancement , nice racket I admire them use what you can , just don't like dirt crap when it's against my own kids , and if anyone in KY CC or anywhere else has a problem with it speak up I will be glad to let them know they shouldn't now down there's right and wrong pick your side , Stephen will move on soon after hammering some Ohio kids this week and Austin will take a lose Or two but not for long and now you know what my rep is for watch the match and ask yourself when you see Jordan jump in the air trying to get his kids two after he saw the ref call it out and the ref give the two. Why I have a rep ,
Funny I don't see me blasting Union or Union blasting me or mine in KY and our teams are huge rivals our move probably caused them a state title , ask coach Ervin what he thinks of the video I would like to hear a real coaches response . I think some x people even see the truth about the match ,
Either way I will bitch for quite a while and enjoy rooting against those that put such a dark mark on my sons sr yr with their pitiful tactics and the most obvious example of them using their rep to their advantage , More impressed by two brothers moving around playing ball and overcoming huge obstacles to wrestle than any wrestler ever at graham and their accomplishments Austin will poop on them before he's through just like everyone else , I will enjoy him running over their 220s in the yrs ahead pinning them in the first with no ref being able to cheat him ,.

I look forward to meeting you and shaking your hand .and yes Stephen looked good against Schramm , have to say Schramm got robbed as well , Stephen could very well have had him in the semis had he not been robbed .
Also have to say Kevin gave Marrinelli hell .
I look forward to meeting you as well sir. I know we have gotten "chippy" in the past, but there is no doubt that we are 2 people extremely passionate for the sport (life) we love. Enough mooshy sh*t. Lol. Where can I find the Marrinelli/Cooper match?
Been there done nothing? Who has my kids beaten that brings your ignorance to this thread your an obvious hater go choke on some
Crow .
Big momma , nice post bad time to throw some poor kid like Davis under the bus , glad Aj might drop I like him don't want steph to beat him again , and Stephen will make Davis look like an idiot , going into OT with cooper as Aj did doesn't mean a thing different wrestlers different styles , Schramm is better than Davis and Stephen destroyed him he will obliterate Davis and make an example of him and anyone else in his class at Fairfield , his class will be a total killing field bring the body bags and make
No mistake friends or not everyone is in danger of getting embarrassed at 152 next week in Fairfield .best match will be Austin and Heimkreiter and Fausz and Sandlin if they meet . Best match I have seen all yr has been Austin and Heimkreiter they wrestle twice this week .
Watched match again in slow motion , at no point on the Mat before they were called out of bounds did Marinelli establish control he had one leg for the instant Stephen was on the ground not even close to being behind in control or establishing anything remotely resembling the points of control before Stephen was up and the ref waved them out waited and awarded two after Marinelli pulled a dirty move and took him down after he saw they were waved off graham coaches jumping and yelling all around for their chance to punk out a wuss ref and steal a match ,
CC coaches should have argued it .......... A lot .
Had I known Stephen would be openly cheated And a bad ref Was going to let a wrestler get by with taking a kid down so dirty after they were waved out l would have let him watch in the stands And let graham and their pets build their reps on the losses of others . Gmvwa is a dirty tournament with crooked refs. Graham kids obviously do not wrestle with the same set of morals preached in their room and their coach has no problem conning refs into GIVING his wrestlers points , no well it was close and it happens it's Graham garbage and it was obvious , as for making stars out of kids who are home schooled untill high school who are held back and get to wrestle three practices a day with all the best kids I'm the country , who couldn't do that , someone who never wrestled a day in HS could do it , quit with the name dropping of kids raised in more than spartan lifestyles , they may be great but their wins over normal kids are less than remarkable , and their use of the name they have created on the backs of kids who should be unbeatable not remarkable becase they are and the others that are drawn in is a testament to how crooked sports are and how naive average people are including , refs coaches and most fans .nice job Graham very admirable ,
And Ohio people need to quit ranting about a small school team in Ohio beating a large school team in KY it's kind of funny considering they have kids driving from Miamisbutg and up to an hour and a half away in order to wrestle for them .
Hardly a small school .
Surprised coach Ryan is gone he did great work for Graham and team Jordan . His son / sons are tough as nails Kyle Ryan was always an inspiratiuon and Cody always a go getter just like most of the Graham kids .
.
Lol you better watch the match fool it was called out called out then called takedown even the Ohio haters are saying the ref
Said he scored in bounds and saved the call or some ignorance , no question about wether the ref waved them out before Stephen hit his Ass and the graham wrestler knew they were out when Stephen stopped wrestling and he finished , your sucking up to graham or your KY buddies and I Dare any coach at CC to tell
Me it was the right call wether they think they should argue it or not , no one picked up any SAM and put him on his ass untill after the bogus ref called them out and he stopped , if anything it was a dirty move by the graham
Kid for going for a takedown after he knew they were called out ,
Both my boys know Stephen was cheated , keep running your mouth and you and your pals will learn what it's like to see their kids humiliated by a real wrestler not some poser you keep telling stories about you know nothing wannabe and your dumb a$$ doesn't know the difference between a slide bye or a throw bye and as for coaching your constant ramblings about billy bob looking like Johnny woo or Bruce lee are really entertaining , be sure to come watch Sam and ATM put all your wrestlers on their CANs or on their heads or in the air and off the top of the podiums .
.
.
Lol no haters like you cause trouble for kids like mine with your envy and ignorance and stir the pot attitude . And as for those child abusing so called coaches at grant none of them are even there this yr lol all
Of em are canned .
Lol
What would I do , if he got beat fair and he said that I would say well you better start coaching and training him better and he better get busy and I might do a few other things for being disrespected with some sterotypical ignorant comment :)/> but I would
Probably laugh ,
Now if me and his coaches sat down and watched the match together and any of them said it was the right call , I would quickly inform them that they should not be setting in the corner
Of any real wrestling matches because they do not know the rules , and that they are not intelligent enough to coach my kids . But I think they are I simply have to talk to one who I admire greatly and who did a great job motivating Stephen into coming back after the bs call and match with the graham sheltered wrestler and easily beating the rest of a decent field of wrestlers both of which came from his side of the bracket .
Make no mistake I think the CC coaches were nervous wrestling against Graham and I think they knew they wouldn't win a ca against them in their state near their home , but they should have argued more .
And Stephen did not quit untill the ref called it out it's not that your mistaken it's that your a piece of $;:t troublemaker and a wannabe , quit trying to be somebody by argument association your still a no body .and tell your pal
His kid is
Next
Let me ask. Isnt it if you are taking someone down as he is going out of bounds first your toes have to still be remaining in and second your knees have to be off of the mat? If so you can clearly see his knees are down. Its funny because next to the video on youtube when I watched it, youtube suggested I watch a video called "poor officiating" LOL Ironic huh
I noticed Sean Fausz won at 126. Is he gonna stay there or go back to 132 for state. The path to a state title will be much easier for him at 132.
It is interesting to see that people would be so jealous of someone that they will follow them from message board to message board, just to bash them and their kids.
The wrong call was made. They were out of bounds according to the ref! Makes absolutely no difference where you think they were on the mat. You can not blow the whistle, call it out of bounds and then award one competitor a take down because the other quit wrestling at that point. This happens all the time with teams like Graham here in Ohio. The refs all to often let coaches call the match for them.
As for tournament toughness, Brecksville and MIT are both probably tougher top to bottom than GMVWA. Not to mention powerade. But I don't think that any weight class was tougher than 152 was at GMVWA at least not in Ohio.
I am pretty ashamed of my fellow Ohioans, but I don't think I have ever seen someone attack someone else on their very own team. Especially for simply stating the obvious. It takes a lot of guts to get on the Internet, claim to have brought someone to your program and then publicly say they are not a TRUE BRAVE. Seems to me that Buckeye (dig the screen name) might be more of a Brave than you are.
By the way your courage level insists that your rethink your screen name!
First... That so called "Takedown" did not make a difference in the match. The match was 6-3 and Marinelli got another takedown after his first one. So even if they were out of bounds the score is 4-3 and the Alex still wins.
Just to give you a heads up Roid Monkey, that same Ref will be at the Fairfield inv... good luck
Congrats KY wrestlers, you represented well! Nutter Center looks like a nice venue. As for the "controversial" match, well........No controversy. Takedown at edge in 2nd was legit. Even if it was called out of bounds Marinelli had a nice takedown in 3rd. So, still the same decision. A run through of the video shows Stephen with a very sweet slide by in 1st for a td. Nothing else of consequence in the period. 2nd: Marinelli chooses down and is out easily. Outside of the td at the edge we see Marinelli with three other shots and Myers with one. Further, Myers had trouble getting out from bottom (never did). 3rd: Myers down and gets out after 20 seconds or so. Myers continues to attempt slide by as he has all match. Never close to another takedown. Marinelli does very little and is rightfully hit with stalling early in period. Takedown near the end of period by Marinelli, Myers not remotely close to getting out. 6-3, fair and square. CC coaches never disputed the call. Are you going to call them out like you did at Moeller? Myers gracious in defeat, Mpire could learn from his son's example. You sound like an overbearing soccer mom. I recall you saying this tournament is way better than SWOWCA, Still feel that way? I saw too many small schools that watered down the brackets (poor Austin had to settle for thumping fish after fish. Not his fault though, he beat whomever they put in front of him). After looking over the results of this tournament, I would say CC can hang with the better schools in southwest Ohio in a duals format outside of Moeller.
It was a 2- 2 match in the second with Stephen getting the choice in the third and having the only takedown , he would have escaped
For the go ahead lead as you the ref and the graham coaches know , the score by Marrinelli late in the third doesn't mean anything Stephen had to make an attempt to score and Marrinelli who was called for stalling knew Stephen had to try and score and took advantage of it ,
Do not be ao stupid as to think people do not know the workings and tactics of a match give me a 2 to 2 match in the second with the choice in the third and I will win 80% of the time and everyone knows it , doesn't change crap and of course everyone will say well he scored again , had Stephen not got cheated he would have chosen down escaped as he did and gotten the lead back and then it's a totally different match and ending he would
Not have taken a sloppy shot on a have too attempt and Marrinelli would not have been able to counter and score ,
Same fat ref at Fairfield better stay out of my kids matches . And it will not matter kids will be to busy looking at lights to be helped out by fat piece if sh/! Refs who cheat out of state kids . Go back to Ohio or wherever your from or stick around and show the KY fans how there are haters who are just about trouble making either way my boys are winning state this yr and moving ahead , and
Stephen led the way for his brother to be A FOUR timer and Austin will squash Anyone at Graham Moeller Eds Ohio or Ky by his Sr yr .and he had the most dominant performance at GMVWA not the great Bo Jordan , faster pins and more points for his team ,just like the rumble , just like NHSCAs .
Otto ,another buckeye Jordan / graham fan ,
Stephen scored first Marrineli was defensive in the first after being scored on and with his escape in the second it was tied with Stephen getting choice in the third your statement about one shot attempt is ridiculous with marinneli shutting down in the first after getting scored on and how he stalled in the third knowing he got a gift lead , Stephen made knee pick attempts in the second as well as all match and tried to run Marrinelli over several times from their tie ups , there wasittle time for an escape in the second afte the takedown after they were called out , the ref Jordan and his wrestler knowing Stephen would get choice in the third and little chance of holding or turning him all period knew he would regain the lead and had to resort to dirty tactic for an edge , you cannot call wrestlers out of bounds then allow a takedown an award points for it it is clearly done in that order , of course Stephen tried for throw bye slide byes in the third anyone with a lead would protect their legs and with Marinelli trying to bang and brawl with everyone hi sloppy style opens up throw byes and slide byes , that's why Stephen scored with one so quickly in the first. Because he watched and listened to how his opponent wrestled and out wrestled him from the start , as for the late takedown in the third as you stated , down by 1 of course Stephen had to force a takedown and it opened him up to a counter ,
Your Ohio bias is a joke , your presumptuous arrogance with your in depth but false analysis trying to appear wrestling knowledgable and pulll the wool over all the KY faithful is a joke ,
Your an @$$ and excuse me for informing you that the good old folks in Ky can watch a match and see for themselves when a ref calls someone out the action stops and no takedown afterwards counts , as for everything after that point it doesn't matter it was a bs match Stephen had the only takedown to that point because he was the more talented and more intelligent wrestler , Marrinelli with decent skill and sise advantage has a great future but is a clos in comparrison , he has a defensive stance and a brawling style that opens him up to moves a nice style for his sise advantage but BORING compared to Stephen as he showed in his match with Schramm ,
Your arrogance and breakdown of The match only shows how your posts are aimed at showing how Ohio is so much better nothing you say is relevant because it is all suspect because of you proven agenda ,
Explain when there was a takedown when Marrinelli had control before the ref called it out , chasing a leg is not control getting a takedown of the mat after being called out is not control ,
Stephen did prove he was the better wrestler he wrestled his match untill he was cheated and had to go for it afterwards , he came back like a champ and smoked everyone else .
Graham Jeff Jordan and the Marrinelis can enjoy their ranking and glory hunt meanwhile anyone that watches the match their fans so quickly posted will be saying wait a minute that was bull shit ,
Ohio and its refs took advantage of having a good wrestler match up with a goid out of state wrestler with a ranking of his own clearly cheated him in a match that was going his way in order to build the rep of its own kids and becoming a bit more popular for beating a kid who left Ohio who was controversial anyway was another plus ,
Your heroes are flawed your refs are flawed and I'm glad I am who I am and how I am , My kids are more classy and better than any coach team ref tourny or person like yourself who would cheat them or deny a clear mistake or dirty call ,
Graham can choke on their cheap win and their dominance by kids that do not play by the same rules as others , funny an awful lot of Hooplah whenever my boys take the mat and I didn't wrestle at Wisconsin and don't make millions off of watching kids wrestle live in my room while the rest of the teams in the state follow different rules . Nit that it matters , bad call bad ref you suck
The rulebook states that the feet have to be inbounds and the knees can be on the mat or above the mat.
.
Not sure of any of that , doesn't matter what does the rules state about calling wrestlers of the Matt then a kid getting taken down and a ref awarding two , it probably says some ref is cheating for some in state powerhouse team that draws mass attention to Ohio wrestling ,

It does say that but the ref called a takedown and no one of consequence disagreed so the match went on and marinelli got his hand raised.
I noticed Sean Fausz won at 126. Is he gonna stay there or go back to 132 for state. The path to a state title will be much easier for him at 132.
I doubt Fausz is the type to run from competition.

Not true. You can take someone down and your knees hit out of bounds, as long as your feet come back down inbounds right away then it's a takedown.
Marinelli is a true freshman. 14 years old with a February birth month. He is very impressive and even more so in this day and age of hold back athletes!Either way very defensive match, a take down match won by a beast of a freshman, really no mat wrestling at all.
So what does that have to do with a bs call to get him the win , your another Ohio lets make a hero at all cost even a few cheap calls in not one but two matches , weak minded sycophant.,
It appears Ohio lost Kolodsick another great freshman last yr lol and now is need of a replacement and some national exposure for one of their fresh , what a joke it doesn't matter how old he is if he is 14 , or 12 or 19 like Bo it doesn't excuse a bad call .
Fausz can go where he wants and if he goes to a weight he is comfortable at and wins state who cares , the best kids should win state titles . And the wrestlers who win help their team do the same , get the picture .
What was the overall impression of the venue, the event, etc? Looks like a nice arena with lots of room between mats, I heard announcer chatting up matches. Nice touch. The fact that CC, SK, and Ryle scored so well says volumes about the level of KY wrestling. Imagine if Union had been there...........

Wow! That's impressive.
The overall impression is that it's a big tournament close to graham where they can showcase their kids and if they can't win a close one they don't have to worry the refs will help em out , go post on crappy
F-O-U-R-T-E-E-N!!!! Defeating a highly experienced senior like Myers. Wow. I'm speechless. That graham program is amazing. Imagine how good the Myers boys would be if daddy could have kept his nose out of things and they could have stuck with Moeller or been welcomed at graham. I'd say at Campbell they'll reach about 50% of their potential. Not bad.
Yeah imagine , Moeller actually being state champs like Campbell county , or graham being national champs like uh .... Austin , imagine that .
Now imagine a dad with two kids that get all the press and he never wrestled a day , shine a team like graham actually using their prestige to steal matches and sway refs into making bad calls , imagine Stephen at A d1 scho and never had to go to graham or Moeller ,
Imagine Austin a soon to be 4 time champ at 220 that just out wrestled every Ohio kid from graham or otherwise who is a national champ
And OW winner and will become the biggest four time champ
In Ohio or Kentucky history , imagine a soph picking up an Ohio 220 over his head taking h
Down throwing the half in mid air and sticking him before they hit the mat , imagine him demolishing a returning GMVWA champ in the first period by pin and taking his award and laughing at everyone else .
Imagine if any school in OHio could beat Blair but it seems they lose their best to them ,
Someone asked how old he was and I answered. My response had nothing to do with the call. I was sitting within 10 feet of you and you need to get over the call. Your son is a great wrestler and he had plenty of time to win a 1 point match. The fact is, he couldn't get the escape he needed with 36 seconds left in he second and he couldn't get a takedown with 1:30 left in the 3rd period. You need to learn to take the loss with as much dignity as your son. Hovering over theGraham coaches and yelling at them after the match is childish. Marinelli out wrestled your son during the match. Your other son is very impressive, it's unusual for a 220 to move like he does, very impressive! So what does that have to do with a bs call to get him the win , your another Ohio lets make a hero at all cost even a few cheap calls in not one but two matches , weak minded sycophant.,

Been,
You should be ashamed of yourself. There is absolutely no excuse to attack a lady or the kids on an open forum. Mpire is fair game because he brings alot of it on himself but attacking his family members shows no class. I have NEVER heard a SINGLE unflattering word spoken about his kids and I have known several coaches that have worked with them. By all regards, Steph and Austin are first class on and off the mat. Printing off tone remarks about their mother is cowardly.
Mpire,
I agree with everything you say about Graham. Quite frankly, in my eyes their nationwide recruiting efforts are a black eye on their program and each kid "imported" throws up another asterisk on their resume. Having said that, although the ref's mechanics were wrong the correct call was made. It was two. As pointed out in previous posts, you should be more concerned that you couldn't earn the escape in 36 seconds after the takedown. That is were the match was truely lost. Finally, let the kid's wrestling do their talking. In the end, after their medals have tons of dust on them and "old timers" gather over a beverage to discuss wrestling history do you really want the first words spoken after the name of the Myers brothers to comes up to be "their dad was wacko" or the Myers and "their 7 state titles"......At the pace you are ranting, I doubt very seriously if 7 state titles even remotely gets mentioned before your name......
mpire let it go man.
Come on fatboy it was a joke. Funny stuff. Just like him calling the ref a fat ass and me a queer....I'm sure he was kidding around just like I am. But I never said anything bad about his kids. Not even as a joke. Old man Myers likes to blame all his antics on standing up for his kids. But no one picks on his kids.
Thanks but no way that was two the ref changed his call never once was there control before that , end of story
Been there dione that have you ever bit the curb and felt the back of your skull crash through the roof of your mouth , , it would be a nice change for you after all the pillow biting you do .
Don't have to let it Go the haters done blew it up before a post was made , my sons lose a match and threads Are started , nice way to treat great wrestlers but regardless I will get blamed but it's ok because it because of me they are what they are and who they are , from now on I will name every single kid my sons beat from Ohio details scores names everything I will even post some videos of them flying through the air , this will be fun
The ref flat out cheated awarded a takedown after he called them out and a takedown occurred , No doubt in my mind either of my kids mind and many who saw it they simply Bow down to Jordan and his rep and
Most of the Hooplah is Ohio haters .
Mpire I can see you practicing your curb stomp now. I'm moving to Canada. Hasta manana.

How about posting the video of the takedown you feel was not a takedown. That way the vast majority of us that did not see the match can get a look at it and make up our own minds about it.
It's on you tube , Stephen scores right away about ten sec in , Marrinelli escapes and backs up most of that period Steph gets double overs and Marrinelli backs out , we win toss defer , Marrinelli escapes , a lot of tie up steph takes a shot etc they get to edge Marinelli shoots gets one leg Steff whizzers they circle steph goes to hands for a split second Marrinelli never gets behind while he is down never gets points of control never gets off of one leg they circle go out ref calls it out Marrinelli continues after Stephen quits and gets a td Jordan and his coaches jump and yell ref gives him two ,
NEVER DID MARRINELLI HAVE CONTROL before they were called out and the ref waved them off then gave the two , that's not how it's done its the biggest ripoff I have ever seen and the rest of the match doesn't matter after that point steph escapes Marrinelli stalls finally Stephen has to shoot and gives up two trying its garbage , watch and I challenge anyone to show the video and show were Marrinneli has control before they are called , out , no one can because he never did . BS match end of story .watch it
What I see on the video is that Marrinelli is trying to get a takedown, Stephen starts to go out of bounds, the ref. makes motion with his hands to show they are out but never blows his whistle. Stephen had his back turned to the ref so he could not have seen the hand signal the ref made so that should not have affected his actions. When the ref does blow his whistle and signal they are out Marrinelli did meet the criteria for a takedown. Looks like the right call to me.
Mpire
All I here about is how great this Graham school out of Ohio is. How good are they really? Hypothetical question, if you combined Campbell County and Union County together and sent the Meyers brothers, Brock, Jayce, Blackwell, Fausz, Hamilton, Dezember and the best of the rest against them, would they have a chance??

They're down from years past in my opinion. No team has ever been less than 100 pts behind them at this tournament. The closest until this year that I could find was around 150 pts. So yeah, a combined team that could beat their 3 lightweights would walk all over them. They have some serious holes (126, 138, 145, most above 160), but some very good studs. I seriously question the validity of them being a top 15 team nationally.
I watched the Graham vs Mason dual last week and the light weights looked good, the middle weights were very good but Mason won the upper weights. I expected a total blow out and came away surprised that Mason won some matches. I agree Graham may be down this year, but still a very good team and by year end will be even better.
I didn't hear or listen for a whistle and I think Stephen thought they were out and the ref waved them out whistle Or no before a takedown so it was out before the takedown .period there is no grey did he wave them out before the td , yes everyone can see it steph probably did as well
Let me explain something many coaches do not argue calls . I have seen Moeller coaches fail to argue calls several times so have everyone else .
SIDS dad , tell me when you saw control in that match a takedown with all points of control , never before the ref waved them out NEVER as for whistles there is about eight matches going on Stephen surely heard numerous ones as did everyone else , out is out ,
I think Campbell county's colors are purple and gold the coach who jumped up from Stephens corner was indeed wearing purple and gold so he must have had something to say wouldn't you think ,
Watch the match with Schramm he was cheated as well same ref .
I know everyone is buddy buddy , I don't care right is right and wrong is wrong , bad call bs call terrible call he waved them out and them awarded a td that occurred after , sad
