Tell me how someone that coaches for a team can also ref a match with that team being in it. It's bull!!!! Just watch one ref give home cooking big time all day for Ryle. He robed 2 kids of wins and 1 kid from going to OT. Their is no way that Kenny should be aloud to ref a Ryle match and Hardy shouldn't be on the mat with Campbell county. Just my opinion but iv been wrong before.

Yes, a ref who coaches should not be overseeing a match with a kid from his program. That's amazing!!

No problem I figured you was just messing with me. Im use to it. I know my grammar is not the best. But I do like reading everyones posts on here and getting all the advise and other peoples perspectives on things. We are all on here for one reason. We love this sport and want it to grow in our state.

I did not think Lonkard coached with Ryle.  I know Hardy does NOT at CC.  He has stepped in the room maybe twice to talk to me, but never coached for a second.  You also had Cooper there as the 3rd official yesterday to represent SK.  I don't think any of those guys intentionally make calls in favor of any team.  But all officials make mistakes; even the best.  And it seems that any mistake they make in that goes the way of their "home" team is magnified and makes it look like they are biased.

I thought the officiating was fine. The only problem I had is it seems like officials are really hesitant to call stalling at the middle school level. There were several matches where stalling was a problem and I only saw a couple of warnings given. Overall, all though, a well run tournament, things went quickly and smoothly, despite only having two mats. And there were some super matches.

Just to set the record straight I do not coach at ryle I used to help with the youth team but I haven't for the last 3 yrs. Do I know alot the kids yes alot on all teams when they were in youth they now wrestle for many teams ryle walton ockerman turkeyfoot cooper plus I also know a bunch of the kids thru football since of i've coached pee wee football for 27 yrs. I whole heartedly do not make any calls in favor of anyone or team I admit I'm not perfect I'm human When I realize I have made a bad call even when its too late to make a difference I come to the coach when I see them next apologize and tell them I will use that as a learning experience I ask coaches all the time to tell me if they see something I need to work on to get better. I only want the sport to grow and kids to grow up to great men with great qualities for life lessons. Like I said it was just my opinion. I know that hardy is involve with CC I know he doesn't coach. And I know Kenny is involved with Ryle. They are both great guys. But it's just human nature that when there I a close call or a call that could go either way thy your going to lean towards your school. I just think it would be smart if they didn't ref their schools match's. I could be wrong trust me i have been wrong plenty in my life. If I offended you I'm sorry. Like I said both guys are very good guys.

I see both sides. Refs have to be impartial and appear impartial. And if the gentleman coached at the youth level 3 years ago wouldn't that make those kids middle schoolers right now!?

Then again, here's a gentleman giving back to the sport of wrestling by doing a very tough and thankless job. No good deed goes unpunished!!

I'd lean towards giving him the benefit of the doubt.

They should have done another region but, not kids they coached. Middle school wrestling went thought "favoritism officials” when the tournament was at E-town for LaRue.

(hug) Just wanted to make clear that I don't coach at Ryle I make the calls as Isee it no matter who it is only red or green to me.Like Isaid before I'll explain my call to coach if he disagrees as to what I've believe is the rules am I 100% right No but I try my best to get it right because the last thing I would hate to do is cost a kid a match because of a bad call. Have I done it probably I say that becuase if I didn't make the bad call they may have wrestled different. When I found out my interpretation was wrong I own up to it.As always I will try to do my best just like the wrestlers and coaches Good Luck

Dirty stuff , butt it's ok he's a good ref a good person and just because he holds a lot of his calls that actually favors CCs opponents to avoid those accusations , I won't hold it against him

, now the way those coaches draw the match order that's another thing lol

Hardy is a good man , people should back off of him but maybe he shouldn't ref CC matches to avoid the bs , but then the CC alum won't pay for his Farrari anymore .
