When was the last time Woodford did not have a state champ?

When was the last time a region did not have a state placer?

Are the starks brothers the only brother to win state in the same year at back to back weights?

Just some late night wondering???

i believe the selke brothers from trinity won titles in consecutive weight classes in 1990.  Also in 1983, tim & troy cole.  there may be more.  couldn't tell you the last time woodford didn't have a state champ....maybe early 90's?  not sure, find that info at www.khsaa.org/wrestling

Woodford didn't have a champ in 1994.  But since then they have had multiple champs in 10 of the 12 years.

Pioneer that was

1983 Tom (132) and Troy (138) Cole from (Conner)

1996 Jeremy 125 and Scott Rhodes 130 (Sheldon Clark)

1990 Brian 135 and Mark Selke 140 (Trinity)

What about the Merrits Livingston and Miguell were they cousins or brothers.

1996 Miguell (189) Livingston 215 (Hopkinsville)

1995 Miguell (185) Livingston 215 (Hopkinsville)

thanks for the correction....i was going by the khsaa website, but i think you're right....i believe it was tom.  i think they had a brother named tim who didn't wrestle though....but the website has it as tim cole.

Man, those Livingston brothers....they were unreal....it was like watching a caged animal being released on someone when they wrestled!  I felt like yelling "someone get a tranquilizer gun....their gonna kill someone!!"  Them and Jarod Trice were probably the most entertaining wrestlers i've ever seen.

Jeremy and Scott Rhodes were cousins (first probably). Scott won it as a freshman and moved to West Virginia. Jeremy continued to wrestle in college for Gardner Webb where he was an all-American.

How did Scott Rhodes do in WV?

I think the best he did was 6th place in 1999.

Scott was not the same wrestler once he moved. His mind was on other things. In KY he lived with Jeremy and had him for a practice partner.
