Everyone wishes to have their viewpoint heard. Everyone who brings their point of view and insight is a part of this large community.
It has always been a rule that Personal Attacks will not be tolerated. This rule has been a little too relaxed in the past to allow for open discussion. However, It's lead to some out of control whiplash. Moving forward, I want it to be clear that it's unacceptable to attack a user, even with a history of foolish or boorish behavior. If we want to encourage a positive online presence for our sport and community here in Kentucky, we can't get caught up into this cycle.
This includes wrestlers that may have done something unsportsmanlike or referees that made a foolish call. People make mistakes, and hopefully they learn from them. Attacking them for it will not encourage them to change their ways. Personal attacks are damaging to helping our community and sport grow and goes against the spirit of sportsmanship. Comments should not be personalized or directed at people, avoid the use of "you".
How should you respond to a personal attack? By not responding at all. Report it to a moderator... simply by clicking the report button/link on that post. Moderating debates can be stressful, and we try be open when it comes to discussions, but personal attacks cannot be tolerated.
Do not respond to attacks, instead, report it. Users that insist on a confrontational response to a personal attack, could be blocked as well for cycling the problem.
