For those of us in the Northern KY area(especially those that wrestle across the river alot). I want to announce the Elder High School coach Dick McCoy has announced he is stepping down after 39 years of coaching. On a lighter note will this affect where Spatola ends up??

It could depending on who they hire. With all the training he does on the side it might be tough to take on a head coaching job.......so if not him then who does it fall to?

Actually there seems to be some discussion there.A guy names 'Mike' said they are looking out of house.
Great Coach and Great Man! Made Elder one of the top programs in that area year in and year out. After all of those years it will be interesting to see who is in line to take over. One of his current assistants? Someone from the outside? I personally believe it will be someone who wrestled for him and who he is confident in. I would hate to see a Cincinnati program like Elder drop off because of the influence it has in areas of Ohio, Ky, and Indiana.

I agree that it will be someone with ties to the program, but may not be a current member of the staff.
